I wonder if any artists these days are going to bring awareness to this censorship. Wake up Sally Bowles, we have another Hitler on our hands.

"Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law banning all swearing in films, television broadcasts, theatres and the media."

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

this isn't really "new". nor am I suprised.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

So just because something isn't really "new", it's not worthy of discussion? Just the usual snarky comments from the fisherbitch?

Yeah, I guess you're right. Instead let's all hope for another thread about what sad song makes you cry the hardest every time you hear it while working out and all that crap. Zzzzzzzzzz.

I would guess that yes, people will speak out. Of course, they won't be Russians (for the most part).

I would expect Madonna, who's been in her own war w/ Russia/Putin for a few years, will say something.

A lot of Russian artists have always found creative ways around censorship, I'm sure this time will be no different.
