Lotto/SRO Advice for Hedwig

would anyone be willing to pair up to stand in line for SRO tickets? I can't find anyone else willing to wait it out in line.

I guess I also need to confirm that this is technically allowed, but I'm assuming it is fine to switch out places in line with someone (e.g., someone stand in line in the morning, and be replaced by someone in the afternoon) so long as only one person tries to buy tickets (2 total?)

I could go next Wednesday (July 30) - stupid me forgot that there's two dark days for this show and went super early yesterday (Tuesday), and knew it was too good to be true when no one else showed up after awhile! I could possibly also do this Saturday if needed! Or if someone prefers to stand in line the whole day, I could also pay them up to $60 to give me the second ticket -- I know that's not much but I'm a student, which is why I've tried lotto several times and am willing to stand in line. :)

Also, apologies if this is a repeated question as of recently, but I only saw reports about "no sitting" much earlier back in these threads -- can anyone confirm if they've been having problems/kept from sitting down while waiting in line recently? I need to ideally get some work done while i wait....

Switching out is fine, as long as you're only getting two tickets total between you.

My 3 friends and I are looking to go to hedwig tomorrow (Sunday) for the 3:00pm performance. According to rush report last weekend there were 8 people in line by 9:20...I was wondering if we got there around 6:30am should we have a good chance of getting the standing room tickets? Thank you in advance!

I think 6:30 is okay. I went for last Sunday ... my friend got there at 8 and was 13th in line. Those that got into the matinee arrived between 5 and 7.

I second the question about sitting! Also, does anyone know why the number of SRO tickets varies so much? If they only sell 5, for example, what's happening in all of the other spots?

I have also seen mixed things in this thread about the cancellation line. Is it combined with the SRO line, not a separate line? Is $162 always the price for cancellation or can it be premium prices?

I'm pretty sure they've eased up on the No Sitting rule as I've seen plenty of people sitting whenever I've walked by recently.

The variance in the number of SRO spaces probably has to do with them being offered to company members. I'm assuming in lieu of (or in addition to) house seats maybe?

The cancelation line is a separate line (it forms when the lotto is over, from what I noticed) and the tickets are $162. My friend's mother got a GREAT seat about three minutes before curtain and actually ended up sitting next to Anne Hathaway.

To anyone who cares...I went yesterday (7/27/14) to see hedwig. My friends and I arrived at the theater and were 11th 12th and 13th in line. The first person arrived around 5am and we got there around 6:00am.They offered 16 standing room for the matinee...we would have made it in if everyone in front of us got one ticket each but they didn't. So we had to wait for the night show. We purchased our tickets at 6:15pm. Total wait: 12hrs and 15 min.

"we would have made it in if everyone in front of us got one ticket each but they didn't."

In the history of rush/SRO, I don't think everyone in line has ever only got one ticket.

We went to the lottery last week and my friend won (he was the 8th or 9th person called) and we got box seats (the ones Hedwig talks to).

Sorry I I sound stupid, just trying to understand. If I go to the theatre around 9am, for a Saturday mat (23rd) are the spots sold when the box office opens or at 1:15 for this performance?

When do they start selling the cancellation tickets? Do you have to get out of the SRO line to get a cancellation ticket? How do you know ahead of time if any cancellation tickets are available before giving up the SRO spot? I would like to wait in the 10pm SRO line at 5pm, but spring for a 7pm $162 cancellation ticket if one becomes available and I lose the lottery.

The only matinee of the week is on Sunday at 3 PM. Saturday has a 7 and 10 PM. To get there for the 7, I'd say by 9 is good.

They sell the tix 45 minutes prior to curtain (6:15 and 9:15). If you wanted a mat, then Sunday is when you'd go.

Assuming they keep the same rush/lotto policies after NPH leaves, 1:15. But, when you would need to get there for the first Saturday afternoon performance after NPH's departure is totally unknown at this point.

FYI that Andrew Rannells start performing on August 20th (last day for Neil Patrick Harris is Aug 17th.) Thus, the matinee on Aug 23rd may or may not sell out. If the show is not sold out, the Belasco theater will NOT be selling SRO tix.

Wick3-I was going to say that, too. SRO is going to be way less frequent I'd suspect.

I'm also going to the 2pm show on the 23rd. If SRO is going to be less frequent what do you think about the lottery?

There is now a discount code for the 23rd and on, but not the 8pm on the 23rd.

Fewer people may show up for the lottery too.

I'm coming back to the city for school on the 13th and reading this is stressing me out hardcore haha. My original plan was to try the lotto for every performance hoping to see Neil. But it sounds like it's pretty tough to win. Unfortunately I'll be busy from 9am-5pm due to RA training. I'm guessing SRO isn't an option if that's how late I get out?
