Via Seth Rudetsky's Facebook, sorry no link, Haven Burton is going in tonight. Saw the matinee, Sutton was definitely under the weather but pushed through!
I was there this afternoon as well. She was coughing during blackouts and was clearly struggling, but completely gave it her all and her performance didn't suffer one bit. She was great.
^ I totally agree, she did a fantastic job this afternoon! I give her a lot of credit for the heart she put into it! She definitely didn't walk through it, I'd say she conserved her voice when she could, but otherwise flawless!
I was at the 2:00 pm show today. Haven was on for Sutton and was phenomenal. She was very well rehearsed and very prepared...you couldn't tell she was an understudy/standby. She was a force to be reckoned with on the stage, and really held her ground amidst her fellow cast members. I really enjoyed her performance, specifically in the song, "Lay Down Your Head". Her performance felt natural, honest, and genuine. I feel really lucky to have gotten to see Haven perform the part, it made this experience of live theater more exciting.
