MONOLOGUES and THE ACTOR'S IMAGE
with Karen Kohlhaas and Jessica Myhr

Have you ever heard, "We just want to see YOU!" — at auditions?
Jessica and I have been talking about how important it is for actors to know how to truly be themselves at auditions, and how choices of audition material and the elements that help you project your image can help you do that. We are excited to present these free introductory workshops next Wednesday evening May 7. All info below.

Wednesday May 5th at Atlantic Theater Company. Free. Reservations required (see below)

7:00-8:00pm
Karen Kohlhaas (www.monologueaudition.com) will see monologues from a few participants; introduce elements of her monologue technique, and talk about the importance of material choice, focusing on the incredibly useful "Hello, This is Me" monologue. Please feel free to bring the texts of monologues you have to see if they are good "Hello, This is Me" monologues for YOU!

8:15-9:15pm
Jessica Myhr (www.inherentstyle.com) will lead an interactive discussion addressing the power of image for the Actor; what is perception from others and what is the narrative we tell ourselves regarding image; why image is a crucial tool for any actor’s business and how important it is to dress your unique essence.

RESERVATIONS REQUIRED: To reserve please email classes@monologueaudition.com(**please note if you are reserving for a friend, we need their email as well. You will be emailed info about entering the building.)
