Shakespeare Summer Training for Teens

The American Shakespeare Center Theatre Camp in Staunton, VA is accepting applications from teens interested in performing and studying the plays of William Shakespeare. The camp offers two intensive three-week training sessions for students aged 13 to 18. Campers will take performance master classes and academic classes as part of a college-preparatory program that offers three full undergraduate credits. Students will rehearse a play by Shakespeare or one of his contemporaries and perform it at the Blackfriars Playhouse, the world's only re-creation of Shakespeare's indoor theatre. Session 1 runs from June 22 to July 13, and Session 2 runs from July 20 to August 10.
