If they're your tickets and you want to go on a different night, Aladdin does have an exchange policy, if you want to see if that would help you... Aladdin ticket exchange policy
Thanks a lot for that-- Unfortunately I bought them through Ticketmaster, and they have a strict no cancellation or exchange policy for my specific tickets for some reason.
If you guys later see an odd guy in Times Square singing A Whole New World and selling 2 tickets to tourists, you'll know it's me!
That link IS to Ticketmaster, and Disney HAS an Exchange policy for its shows now. You can't get your money back, but you can pay $12 per ticket and see a future show of Aladdin, rather than lose money, etc.
Ticketmaster can't authorize exchanges or refunds, but the producers can, and Ticketmaster can ask the production on your behalf if you ask them to. There may also be an option to use the back-dated ticket later on if they are not sold out or close to sold out for future performances - you can ask at the box office what their policy is on that.
Dedpot, maybe try calling again and hope to get a more competent person on the phone?
If the person you spoke to did not know the policy for this particular show and was just vehemently repeating their general policy, you might get someone with a more complete understanding of their rules if you just try calling again. I have had that happen with credit card companies, for example, where one phone employee says completely different policy rules than another one on a different call.
That's exactly what I did, and though the people weren't very competent and they thought they were doing me a favor, or making an exception to policy, they finally exchanged them with the charge mentioned in the Disney/Aladdin policy.
For anybody exchanging in the future, call directly to Disney On Broadway Hotline, and they'll help you out.
The saga is over! Thanks all for your help and concern.
