Anyone else try and purchase a $25 ticket to find they're not available? What's that about? Did I miss something?

If that's the P2P seats or somesuch, they were sold in the pre-sale last week, and you had to have a code to get them.

I'm basing that on the tick tick BOOM thread about people getting $25 seats last week...

No. There are supposed to be regular $25 seats available, and there aren't. Le sigh. Oh, well. I can't afford $110.

As was stated in the initial press release, all of the $25 tickets are being done through the Peer to Peer program this time around, so no, there aren't any "regular" ones available. There were plenty of them available at the $25 price point with the code during the pre-sale but they've now sold out.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

Thanks. I misunderstood. So, basically only someone under 25 got into Faust.... Nice... Oh, well. So much for that.

^^^ I think Faust is different because it's one night only.

Or anyone who used the code that was posted on the tick, tick... BOOM! thread, which probably was not meant to be shared in a public forum.

For the record, the Peer to Peer program is open to anyone under 25 or any current student with a ".edu" email address. As givesmevoice said, the code was inappropriately shared here on the board last week and could have been used by anyone who saw it then, which is unfortunate.

For Faust, according to the seating chart, it looks to me as if balcony seats aren't being sold. For a one-night-only performance, does that make sense? Does anyone remember if Violet balcony seats were sold last year?

I've over 25 and got into Faust. I just paid the price for people over 25.

One would hope anyone over 25 who used a code not meant for them will not be able to pick it up from the box office later? I hope so, as I did see the code when it was still possible to use it. heh.

I didn't see any balcony tickets available for any of the three shows, btw.

I didn't use the code because I assumed they'd ask to see my I.D.

I went up to the window today to buy my TICK TICK BOOM ticket and had great success. They confirmed that no other $25 seats were available for FAUST. Oh, well. I would've loved to have seen it, but I just can't afford the price.

Believe you can go in cold. If you like Randy Newman it makes no difference. I have the cd of it but amazon now has a 2 disc recording for sale. Wish I had waited but the original cd has been out for years.

Any news on who has been cast in this yet? It is one night only Tuesday July 1st.

I have enjoyed prepping by listening to the CD starring:
Devil: Randy Newman
Lord: James Taylor
Henry Faust: Don Henley
Angel Rick: Elton John
Margaret: Linda Ronstadt
Martha: Bonnie Raitt

Looking forward to this. Should be lots of fun.

I was hoping that they might get James Taylor to play God again. He's quite good on the recording.

Vonda Shepard. There's a name I haven't heard in a while.
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body
