Does anyone know where the seat locations are for the IF/THEN lottery? Are there specific locations? Thanks.

I'm hoping they're in better locations than the DC lottery seats. When they said partial view they MEANT partial view. I couln't see any of the second level and most of the stage right.

my sister and I were the first two names called and it was front row CC 2, 4. not sure where everyone else was and while the stage is high and the stuff on the higher tiers you end up sort of looking at vertically but nothing was obstructed and while i'd like to normally think I'm a mature constrained person at the theater I nearly **** myself having Ideenz sing and act her t**s off less than two feet away. pretty awesome.

My friend won lotto first preview and we were A5 and A7. The lotto people said all the lotto seats were the first few rows on the side.

I helped a friend at lotto last night and they offered the same "lotto loser" discount, $50 rear mezz.

How has the lottery been? Crowded? About how many tickets?

And also how is rear mezz for this show? I know in DC it wasn't so great and the mirror cut things off, but the sightlines in the Rodgers may be different than the National.

Is the mirror part of the set or the theater?

Clyde, I was at the First Lottery, there were about 120 people. 20 seats offered, and if you didn't win they offered Rear Mezz seats for $50 (reg $69, I think). and the seats are not bad, could hear and see everything.

I won today with a first row all the way to the left seat. Basically could see everything - although sitting up straight doesn't hurt because it's a high stage. The only times I missed something was when one of the actors blocked my view of another actor..but that was only once or twice..and then I could see it in the amazing set mirror on stage. I had to really look up for the second level on stage..but I could still see.

Also today - 20 lottery seats and then they sold about 20+ seats for $50. I usually love mezz seats but in this case, I was glad I was up front - as the mezz and balcony are really far back.

Do they draw the names for the loser seats or is it the first so many in line after the lottery?

I was at the lotto tonight, a very big crowd and I (unsurprisingly) didn't win. If people wanted the lotto loser seats, they were instructed to just line up behind the lotto winners. I decided not to go for the loser seats, but I am curious - they said the lotto loser seats were all "partial view". They also had about 50-60 available. Is the rear mezz considered partial view? I thought that's where those seats were coming from

The lotto guy said the matinee crowd today was much smaller than the "night before crowd". It's an odd time for the afternoon drawing. Most shows draw two hours before - this one did it half hour later. Not sure if that affected the size of the crowd or not.

And yes a line up for the extra $50 seats..first in line, they got the tickets. There didn't seem to be any mad rush for them.

I am kind of stunned I won the lottery here. I am on a lottery roll is seems, as I NEVER win anything and I have won my last three lottery tries...all weekend matinees. But this was the biggest crowd I think.

Congrats KathyNYC2. I never win it, but my friend seems to. Since you are on a roll, I would be using that luck on a real lotto ticket. You never know.

I went yesterday afternoon and it was packed. Easily 80 people there.

I went yesterday afternoon and didn't win the lottery, however I did get the $50 rush. They were rear orchestra, very last row, and partial view. It wasn't too bad; you couldn't see the second level of the stage, but it's only really used in certain parts of the first act. I thought it was well worth the $50, but if you really want to see the whole stage, maybe spring for the $69 rear mezzanine.

My friend won the lottery for Saturday's matinee and our seats were second row, far right. Agreed with what has been said - you're looking up for those bridge/tier scenes but it's well worth it to be so close. Lottery crowd was big and I expect it will only get bigger! Very lucky to have won when we did :) Good luck to all!

Are they still selling Lottery Loser seats?

They are still selling lotto loser tickets. And from what I'm seeing in this thread, they lowered the price. I did the lotto this past Wednesday matinee, didn't win but bought the loser ticket for only 40. Totally worth it as the view was really only obstructed for those few scenes on the bridge

I got a front mezz loser lotto ticket for 50 bucks the Tuesday befor last. Glad I sat upstairs. The effects with the mirror look very cool up there.

I am contemplating purchasing tickets in the third row/center. However I would be very disappointed if Idina is not performing. Would you recommend sitting this close? Thoughts? Thank you so much!

Idina rarely misses shows - she's missed like 4.5 shows since it began previews in DC last November. Plus, if she's out, you can get your money back since she's above the title.

So - do you want to be close to the actors or take in the entire set? If you want a broader view, obviously sit back further. If you want to be super close, sit in the 3rd row.

I've sat around rows H and I and it was great - very close but not too close.

Thank you Veronicamae, much appreciated it. I already saw it in the mezzanine, loved it.. want to experience it from a different vantage point. Would love to be close to actors. Just wasn't sure..it's been a long time since I sat so close (last time was Beauty and the Beast!!
