I think it just seems like KDM is everywhere because he's had the 4 (and didn't he do the tour as well?) stints in Wicked. I don't think he'll read too old on the stage and I'm confident he'll do well in the show. He's a solid actor and singer and has a great ensemble of actors around him.
Ciara Renee does look young because she is! She's a beautiful woman and I really would like to see the creatives really play that up on her…give the leading player and edge like Patina gave her, but a little further, a little more.
I've booked for when I'm in New York in July - I saw KDM in NTN and was very impressed, so this is good news to me. I think he will be fine age-wise. He suits the role well, just hope he can move well enough, as I'm aware of how physically demanding this new production is.
Never heard of Ciara Renee either, and I think I'm gonna refrain from hearing clips of her singing before July. I was half expecting them bring Vereen back to the role as a stunt move. He probably can't do it anymore, I'm sure they could make adjustments though. Does this production solely rely on having a female LP? I know a lot of the keys are changed for the numbers etc. just wondering?
I'm keeping my fingerd crossed that Charlotte D'Amboise and Terrence Mann are still in it when I go, if not, Julia Murney might make a good Fastrada? I believe she has done it before? Or, after seeing a darker side to Laura Benanti (by which I mean, bitchier)as Elsa Schraeder, she could be a good choice perhaps, if they wanted to cast it slightly younger. Do we think Sieber will come back to Charles?
