Director Gifts?

It is very likely that this is our director/producers last year, and all of the seniors have agreed we want to do something above and beyond for everyone involved, him especially. THe tradition has always been a big director gift, and smaller gifts for the orchestra director, hair and make up, costumes, ticket masters, etc.

The gifts usually relate to the show, if we can. And this years show is a smaller name compared to previous shows we have done. So what is a good director gift related to Brigadoon??

That would depend on how much time you have available. Maybe a nice memory scrapbook for him of all the different shows he has been involved with, ending with yours. In the past, I've had our children's theatre write in a journal for our director - memories they have of the experience and the little ones usually just sign their name.
The year we did "Joseph", I purchased 2 Joseph's Coat Climbing Roses that the director could plant in his landscaping. I did the same thing for Li'l Abner...gave him Shasta Daisies, which are a flower that grows back every year.

I'd suggest scouring the script or songs for something that stands out to you as an important highlight of the show and go with a gift that reflects that. If he is a gardener at all, you could give him some perennial Heather plants, representing "Heather on the Hill" with a memory journal from all of the cast/crew.
