Disney's "Polly"

I just rediscovered the Disney film "Polly". It was made for TV in the late 80s and starred Phylicia Rashad and Keisha Knight Pulliam... With some work, I think it could be great for the stage. Any thoughts?

I would love that! I have the song "Sweet Little Angel Eyes" on my iPod and think of the movie-- naturally-- every time I hear it.

Debbie Allen choreographed... Maybe she could bring it to the stage? I love "sweet little angel eyes" too, and see great potential for an ensemble show stopper with "stand up"!

They could even pull some of the music from the sequel Polly coming Home... i can't hear my heart is a beautiful duet!

Ohh, that is very true! I was trying to remember what other songs are in "Polly" -- can you remember? I may watch it this evening now that you've put the thought in my mind!!

really?! I have the DVDs-- I got them for like $1 each or something when I temporarily joined Disney movie club to get hard-to-find movies such as those.

But anyhow, I think it would work to pull songs from both movies. Did Debbie Allen choreograph both though?
