Happy Thursday. My last trip of this crazy 6 week travelapalooza is next week to CR, and then, hopefully home for a while. Me tired. I am not quite sure how Addy does it all the time (or how I used to travel all the time for work). I had a stretch when I was a young YWIW that I was working on a national class action case, and I was in SF, KC, NY, Delaware and other places for weeks at a time, and then in Boston back and forth for two six month stints. That was all pre-9/11, so it was a bit easier to travel...

Y, every time I drive through Iowa City and see the I380 for CR I think lovingly of Costa Rica!

I generally do not speak of myself in a ego manner, but I will tell you that while in court chatting with the judge and the other lawyer, the judge was asking about my diet and exercise and declared that I "look ten years younger" and "one of the fittest lawyers in my practice." Ok, back to me complaining about my kids. God damn they will not put their clean clothes away!

Tink - I was not sure - but I have never been to Costa Rica - I need DD to take me on a guided tour. I am sick of 8 AM calls. 7 AM I can do from home, but 8, bleech. It makes for some very very long days, especially with the commute. Basically, work, workout, sleep. No fun! And Brd - Congrats!

Y, how long is your commute? I walked to the train after stopping at my auto mechanic who has a legal problem and then talking to the dry cleaner about a lost shirt - 45 minutes home to court.

Depending on traffic - usually 30-45 minutes - a cakewalk by LA standards!

Settling in for another long night at the office. Last night we left at 2am. I think we've easily got that beat tonight. Insanity.

Morning peeps! TGIF!!! So what's everyone's weekend plans? Of course mine is fully packed. I'd like to chill tonight, but I may have to meet my big bro and sis-in-law at a Greek festival. My sis-in-law actually speaks, reads and writes Greek. She also says Cath-"O"-lic. lol Tomorrow rehearsal at 11:30-2:30 then up North to my niece's college graduation party. Sunday of course is church (Pastor's last day, so party afterwards), at 11:30 we are putting up the stage in the church and then afterwards off to finally see Mama HC. She's finally feeling better for visitors. We will celebrate a belated Mother's Day.

And Tony Sunday, I plan on doing a little laundry and just vegging. Not even cooking. I'll have hordourves or order a pizza.

Tomorrow, Mr Happy is throwing his annual BBQ, so lots of prep and then execution for that. So Sunday I look to just lay low, and then watch the Tonys. Just relax when we can, as we will be in Philly next weekend! :) I love weekend roadtrips!

Almost all packed for the weekend. New dress and shoes did NOT work out, so I have to send them back today. Sigh.

Still doing the new eating plan/diet thing. Down about 30-40 pounds. Starting to feel like my old self.

I will pass my new gym on the way home from the new job every day now, so no excuses! But until then, I'm enjoying the celebatory eating and will continue it.

I do, indeed! Makes all the madness worth it.

I'm looking into corporate rates for the gyms near my office. It's foolish to join right now, when I don't have any time, but once the Upfront madness is over, I'd like to get back into that routine. Take the first step.

My niece was offered a teaching job! She is waiting on the details, but it's an excellent school in Delaware. She'll be teaching 2nd Grade, and will also do some work with the Special Ed program. I AM SO EXCITED FOR HER! She hasn't accepted yet, but the offer sent her to the moon. She is going to be an outstanding teacher. Lucky children and their families.
