I accidentally bought the normal version. Is the digital booklet different - as in does it have the bonus tracks listed in it?

WOW, this is a fantastic recording! So clear, crisp, and beautifully orchestrated. I wasn't wild about the West End recording and I'm thrilled we have this one now! Wish they would've done the same for SISTER ACT, though.

So psyched about this recording! It sounds gorgeous. I have been looking forward to buying this for a looooong time.

ETA: My one complaint, however, is that I absolutely adore 'Miracle', and I'm a little bummed that they cut it into three different tracks. Updated On: 9/26/13 at 02:07 AM

All I can say is that if KINKY BOOTS' watered down excuse for a cast recording wins the Grammy over this, PIPPIN or CINDERELLA, then the Grammy has absolutely no merit other than an auto win for the Tony Winner.

So much care and respect for the material went into making this. They even included Bertie's "An exception... to the rules?" at the beginning of "The Hammer"! I'm THRILLED.

However... I just realized they did not include the ENTR' ACTE. Tis but a mere small price to pay for the rest of this incredible album.

^The Entr'acte isn't really even in the show anymore. It's reduced to about 30 seconds of what's on the London cast recording.

I agree that the recording sounds gorgeous and I also agree that great care seems to have been taken to preserve as much of the score as they could and please the fans which always makes a cast album more enjoyable.

TheatreKid3, the digital booklet is different. It does have the extra tracks listed, and it includes the lyrics for them.

I ended up downloading the Deluxe Version as well... I couldn't take it. lol

And yeah, I noticed it has been dramatically shortened when I saw the show. It's not a bad loss.

This is a fantastic cast album.

This sounds fantastic. And great to see it released in the UK iTunes store. We are often left behind with such things.

I am not specifically commenting on this particular recording because I don't know...but often extra musicians are used for the recording sessions than there are for the real show. For example, on Book of Mormon, there are cellos used in the recording that are not there at the show..as there are no live cellos in the BOM pit. They use them to strengthen the sound of the recording.

I look forward to hearing it as well.

In the deluxe version, Bailey sings the first part, Sophia the second, Oona the third and Milly the fourth. And this recording is amazing I really enjoy all the new parts they added

Is it just me or is the whole score just slightly quicker too? The London recording really does seem flat in comparison.

Judging by the lengths of the tracks I don't think there are any easter eggs. On that note, does anyone know when the Trunchbull's monologue got cut?

I don't know if I agree about the entire score being faster. When I Grow Up is quicker with shorter phrases and it does have a clipped sound. Telly is remarkably slower and Miracle has the jerky quality that isn't on the London recording but works so well on the stage. I haven't listened to The Smell of Rebellion yet but that's next to be downloaded. I never really liked it until I saw it staged, now it's one of my favorites. So far the only version I like less than the Stratford recording is Loud. Possibly Bruce as well, but only because "Eat it up, lick it up..." has been cut.

I was under the impression that the Trunchbull's monologue is what is spoken directly before and during "Quiet" (albeit silently during the song).

Funny, LOUD was my least favorite on the London recording, and now is one of my favorites on this. Lesli's interpretation is remarkable. I was hoping they would add in her improv during the "judging" sequence when she goes wild saying stuff like..."10,10, of course it's a ten! im scoring myself I always get a ten!"

Does anyone have any ideas..is the actual CD that will be sold at the theater the DELUXE version? I still like to buy the actual CD and get all the lines notes.

The way that Naughty is broken up as noted above in that version is the way that they sang it on the Kelly and Michael morning show.

Not even fully through it yet, but i already like it much more than the Stratford recording.
Everything is richer, amazing orchestrations, better diction.

"Bruce" is my favorite improvement so far. And the new Trunchbull style sounds much more sinister.

The only one I like better on the London recording is the reprise of When I Grow Up. The Broadway version sounds too crowded and I like the extra orchestration they do in the middle.

The samples are amazing! Can't wait for someone to report when they are officially available at the theatre- I'm going to try and be patient for a hard copy.

Had I not already seen the show, this recording would convince me to do. Its leaps and bounds past the old recording, and the way they split up the girls was perfect, and 'Naughty' with all four of them is a real treat.
