I have a Camelot Audition coming up and I am really wondering what to sing? I have to sing a song from the show, and I am trying to decide between...

1. "Before I gaze at you again"
2. " I loved you once in Silence"

(16-32 bar cuts)

I Loved You Once in Silence is, I believe, 32 bars.

For the 16 start with "Then one day we cast away our secret longing..." (and note those interior rhymes). No belt, all nice legato head tones. Rueful, sad, but not a dirge.

FYI - Before I Gaze At You Again; after tumultuous tryout runs out of town, Lerner and Loewe went to Julie Andrews at the start of dress week (no public previews then) prior to the NY opening which was a Saturday and told her she was getting a new last minute song. She said, "Please try to get it to me at least the day before so I can get it right." They did, she did, and that is the song.
"If my life weren't funny, it would just be true. And that would be unacceptable." --Carrie Fisher

I think you should go with “Before I gaze at you again”. It would be better choice. I love this song and Julie Andrews is the beautiful woman ever to walk the earth. The gal's voice was as pure as crystal and I have the recording too.
