A few months ago, I was a struggling student in my first year of university. I was shocked by how different the workload was from high school—there was so much more reading to do for every class. Furthermore, I didn’t have a parent around to bug me to do my homework every night. Since I lived in a dorm, I would often get distracted by what other students were doing. Every night, I’d tell myself that I’d study or complete an assignment the next night, but when that time would roll around, someone on my floor would be having a party and I’d say “forget it” about the schoolwork. Before I knew it, it would be the day before a test, or the day before an assignment was due, and I’d be trying to cram a week’s worth of work into a few hours. Needless to say, I didn’t have enough time to do a very good job. When I went home for Christmas break and my parents asked me about my grades, I had to tell them that I’d received a C in every class. They said that if I didn’t get my act together, they would stop paying my tuition. I knew I had to do something to help myself, since I was sure I’d get even worse grades if I had to fill up some of my time with a part-time job.

I started browsing online, looking for any resources offering study tips which might help me. By chance, I ended up on one particular website ), where I found “Max Grades Min Effort.” The reason this product appealed to me is because the guy who created it had a similar experience to me when he started out as a student. By changing his study strategies, he went from almost flunking out of college to becoming part of the top 5% in his class. He created “Max Grades Min Effort” to share those study strategies, in order to help other students achieve success too. I ordered the product right away, since I was inspired by his story, and for the first time in months, I believed that maybe I could turn things around for myself. Plus, I got the product at an introductory price of $47, instead of the regular price of $497! For $47, I got five e-books, a time management software program, and a 14-day Action Plan which helped me plan out an effective study schedule for my first 14 days of the program.

The e-books were actually easy and fun to read, since they contained enough graphics and charts to keep me interested. Two of the charts I found especially useful were the goal setting chart and the chart which allowed me to enter the total number of hours I spent on each of my activities per week. Once I used the second chart, I found out I had more than enough time to study well and complete my assignments properly—I’d just been wasting it! I also used the goal setting chart to enter a major goal I set for myself for the next semester. I realized that besides having poor time management skills and procrastinating, one problem I had was that my academic goals weren’t specific enough. My goal was just to finish all my work, and I did, but only to a satisfactory standard, which resulted in C grades. I decided that my goal for the next semester would be to get at least a B in every course. It thought it would be unrealistic to expect to jump from Cs to As, and setting such a lofty goal might discourage me, so I made Bs my target. Of course, to achieve this goal, I had to manage my time better and stop procrastinating, and “Max Grades Min Effort” helped me do this, too. Taking the advice of its creator, Jacky Truong, I set milestone goals for myself well before the deadline of each assignment (such as “finish all research” or “type rough draft”), to make sure I got a good chunk of each one finished well before its deadline. I also took Jacky’s suggestion of estimating how many hours it would take me to complete a certain task in advance, and then using that estimate to determine how many hours per week I’d be required to spend on that task. The Gantt Chart time management software helped me divide my day up into chunks of activity. Once I had a schedule, it was easier to say no to social events when I was supposed to be studying, since my schedule would serve as a visual reminder that I was not available for anything else.

With the help of “Max Grades Min Effort,” I managed to achieve my goal of getting a B in all of my classes in my second semester. Actually, I even got a couple of As! My parents were very proud of me when I presented them with my grades in May. If anyone out there is struggling in school like I was, don’t assume you’re a lost cause—I thought I was one, too, and Jacky’s program was able to help me, so you should see if it can help you as well. The program made me realize that no student truly lacks intelligence; some of us are just going about learning in ways that are totally unproductive. You can still buy “Max Grades Min Effort”
