The original cast album of 50 Shades! The Musical is now available on itunes. So far my favorite part is when Ana sings Christine's cadenza from "Phantom" as Christian takes her down to his lair. It's pretty vulgar, but there have been a few laugh out loud moments. Anyone else listening?

Which layer did he take her down to? The epidermis? The basement membrane? The dermis? That could get pretty scary if it's too deep.

"The Original Parody."

You might wanna get in line behind SPANK and CUFF ME!

^Do you actually know they were first or are you just saying that because you heard of those two before this one?

^Maybe not original as in first, but original as in new. There's only so many different parodic takes you can do on something as boring as Fifty Shades. It's not the material that's funny, but rather the baggage surrounding it.

You know it's going to be funny when the title includes "The Musical" and an exclamation point.

I got a press copy today.

As far as original... I haven't been able to find out which one came first. SPANK was the first one i heard of.

Is there really anything new you can bring to a parody of "Fifty Shades of Grey"?

^This was the first one. It was all new at the time.

50 Shades of Grey is pretty much a parody of itself, in my opinion. I can't imagine this being all that funny.

^Technically it's a parody of Twilight. I read that it started out as Twilight fanfic.

Yeah, it did. Which is why I say it's a parody of itself... anything based on Twilight can't be taken seriously. :-P

I haven't seen 50 SHADES!, but I found SPANK! to be pretty hilarious. It was really fun and funny. While the CD wasn't super impressive, I can't help but feel that the music will be much better in the context of the show. I'm looking forward to seeing it in December in Houston. And for the record, I've read a handful of pages of 50 SHADES OF GREY. The book is awful. I have no desire to actually read the book, but I find these little parodies of it do just want they intend to. They make people laugh and entertain them for 90-120 minutes.

Edited this post because I just finished listening to it.

It's funny but the same jokes over and over. I like it best when they mention the really, really weird stuff from the book. But overall it's definitely no Fifty Shades of Suck.
Jimmy, what are you doing here in the middle of the night? It's almost 9 PM!
