Anyone see the Annie kid replacements yet? Any thoughts?

I saw Taylor a number of months ago. She is definitely smaller and more girly as an Annie compared to Lilla's version. She is an excellent actress but in my opinion, is not as good a singer as Lilla - (but there are very few who could match Lilla at her best in singing I think). I really wasn't excited about her version.

I would very much like to see Sadie in the role. I saw her as an orphan understudy and she really stood out to me in the crowd. I may have to stand on line again for another RUSH.

This video shows Sadie when she was rehearsing for a production of Annie nearly a year and a half ago. The video stood out to me then, and I'm sure she's improved by now.

Wow, nice video, Sadie's great! Glad to see that the show is in good hands.

I did not love Taylor's Annie. Lilla was amazing! I would love to see Sadie but not wanting to spend money on seeing a show a 3rd time.

I saw Sadie in early July and while she did a very admirable job, she definitely didn't have the stage presence, confidence or voice of Lila. However, I don't know how many times she had been on in the role prior to me seeing her so perhaps she's getting more comfortable with it.

If I am not mistaken, I believe that Sadie's first performance as Annie was on July 3rd...so you either saw her very first show or close to it. She had only played one of the other orphans when she was a swing.

That said, it's going to be very hard to compete with Lilla's voice - as Lilla has an exceptionally mature polished voice for a 11-12 year old.

My initial feeling is that I like Sadie's voice more than I like Taylor's but I don't know if that is a fair statement having only seen Taylor live in the show as Annie and Sadie as Duffy.

From what I read, at this point, Taylor is doing the 4 night Annie performances and Sadie is doing the 4 matinees for their summer schedule. I am sure that is not cast in stone but it's a start. (well obviously not CAST IN STONE as Taylor was on this afternoon and Sadie is on tonight).

I saw Sadie in early July too. It must have been her first performance, if that was July 3rd. I thought she was good. Not fantastic, but adequate. Then again, if it was her first performance as Annie, I can cut her some slack there.

I'm seeing the show later this month! I wish Katie Finneran was still in it, but I am very excited to see Faith Prince. I'm also looking forward to seeing David Korins' set design live in person!

I interviewed Sadie this morning abut playing ANNIE. She is a charming and sweet girl. She took Houston by storm playing Annie at TUTS in 2012. I know Houston is rooting for her!

Wow, it's broken record Kathy again! This lady just waits until someone starts an Annie thread and then pounces with the same boring line: Lilla is the greatest ever and Taylor just can't sing(you've toned down since our last conversation. You're now just slightly passive aggressive). Time to cut the bull**** Kathy, I know you are buddies with Lilla's mom. Its one thing to have an opinion, its another thing to have an agenda. Does it feel good to constantly put down a little girl? Do you feel Lilla's mom will like you more and take you places and introduce you to celebrities? It's sad Kathy, just sad. And I know you've clinged onto another one. I guess it must fill some void from childhood.

Ok Sam..are you nuts? Again, I am not a confrontational poster ...but I don't know how to ignore what you wrote. Someone asked our opinion about the Annie replacements and I gave mine. I said Taylor IS an excellent actress (I don't ever remember commenting on Lilla's acting) because she is. Where is that picking on her? I do feel Lilla is better singer (along with a number of other people in this thread but I guess the others are just giving their opinions and I have an agenda?). And I have said more than once how eager I am to see Sadie in the part.

But buddies with Lilla's mom? (who I don't know at all and who doesn't know me)..so I can meet celebrities? Where do you get this stuff? I'm sad? Look in the mirror.
