I am looking for audition pieces, does anyone possess a list of contemporary plays with young gay characters?

I have researched and googled and googled relentlessly and I'm exhausted and a bit discouraged. Am I crazy? It just seems that there is not enough of a repertoire of gay material to choose from. I am begging someone to prove me wrong . . . please.

THE NORMAL HEART (Larry Kramer) has a rich and meaningful script that would surely provide you with audition material. It has been a long while since I've read it so I can't think of anything in particular but it is a moving piece and I remember being stunned by some of the monologues.

LOVE! VALOUR! COMPASSION! (Terrence McNally) is another that has several gay characters. This is a bit more light-hearted.

Terrence McNally wrote a few 'gay plays', and even though they're from the 80s/90s, there is surely material in them that you could use. Off the top of my head; LIPS TOGETHER TEETH APART and THE LISBON TRAVIATA.
