During press call ahead of Driving Miss Daisy's premiere in Perth she said the following:
Lansbury and Jones, at 87 and 82-years-old respectively, have no intentions of leaving the spotlight.
"After all, we are of an age, but we all have plans," Lansbury said.
"I'm not stopping. I have two plays in the future and James has one he's already learning the lines for.
"If you're an actor and you take care of yourself, you're going to keep going."
Each have their unique ways of surviving the stage; Jones calls himself a "vampire" while Lansbury says she's the "bionic woman".
"I think I'm a vampire," Jones said.
"I walk on the stage and get energy from the audience because they're so concentrated I have to concentrate as well."
Lansbury added: "We rest, we take a nap, we don't eat stupidly, we take care of the bods and that's very, very important when you get to a certain age.
"I'm the bionic woman; I've got knees, hips, everything is new and that has made a tremendous difference to me; replacements are high on my list of goodies."

One is a Broadway revival of The Chalk Garden that is supposed to open this fall. I wonder what is the other one and could it be a West End production instead of Broadway?

Yeah, The Chalk Garden revival sounds terribly exciting. It’s a great role for her that could bring Ms. Lansbury that record-setting 6 Tony Award. I imagine Miss Madrigal will also be played by a big star. I hope they can get someone like Kristin Scott Thomas, Cate Blanchett or Emma Thompson.
As for the second project I wish it’d be a musical and preferably in UK or her beloved Ireland.
Ms. Lansbury is a true inspiration and one of the greatest actresses of her time and it’s fantastic that she still presents us with a chance to witness her brilliance on stage, but I do wish she’ll do at least one more film project (Hello, Rob Marshall! She’ll be perfect for Granny in Into The Woods). Can such a legendary star really end her film career on something like Mr. Popper's Penguins? It’s a cute kids movie and no Wicked Stepmother or The Transformers: The Movie, but still.

I think the second show is the Ahrens and Flaherty adaptation of ANASTASIA. Lansbury played the role she gave voice to in the animated film at a workshop, and the songwriters wrote a new song for her.

Interesting, I guess it might be it. Can't believe Angela Lansbury will headline two Australian productions at this point of her career and her home country will get none.
Well, it's their loss. She recently said she would love to perform at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, where her mother Moyna Macgill used to play, if they ask her, but apparently Britain isn't interested in having her.

The Visit, if it happens would be amazing. After all it was developed specifically for her almost 15 years ago.
Interesting how a couple of years before her Broadway return in Deuce Ms. Lansbury said she didn't even think about going back to the theater. Then, after A Little Night Music she said that she doesn't want the pressure of having to carry a show in a major role and everyone assumed we would only see her in supporting parts like in The Best Man from now on.
Yet, now she's been headlining a 6 months tour on the other side of the world, has another major role lined up on B'way in a couple of months, and is in talks to go back to Australia to play the lead in a musical. Amazing!
She truly is unstoppable and full of surprises.
