The new company will undoubtedly acquire the contractual obligations of the old company. Why would you think the sale of the theater would force the show out that was already in it, unless the show was willing to move out?
Shows seen in 2015 (in NYC unless noted): 1/4 Morality Play (Gamm Theatre); 1/11 Private Lives (Hartford Stage); 1/18 A Perfect Future (Speakeasy, Boston); 1/24 Constellations; 1/24 Sleep No More; 1/25 Beautiful (second time); 2/1 Caught in the Net (Bradley Playhouse, Putnam CT); 2/7 Lady Be Good (Encores); 2/7 Hamilton; 2/8 Texas in Paris; 2/13 Proposals (Worcester Light Opera); 2/21 Into the Woods; 2/21 Fish in the Dark; 2/22 On the Twentieth Century; 3/1 Intimate Apparel (Lyric Stage, Boston); 3/7 Bad Jews (Long Wharf); 3/7 Beauty and the Beast (New Haven; previously seen on Broadway); 3/15 Almost, Maine (Barre Players; 3/21 The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Paper Mill); 3/21 Hazel Flagg; 3/22 The Audience (previously seen at local movie theater); 4/4 The Pianist of Willesden Lane (Hartford Stage); 4/11 The King and I (had seen prior Broadway revival, also elsewhere); 4/11 Pardon My English; 4/12 Doctor Zhivago; 4/19 They're Playing Our Song (Worcester Light Opera); 4/25 Hand to God; 4/25 An American in Paris; 4/25 Finding Neverland (had seen at ART); 5/2 Rumors (MMAS); 5/3 And Miss Reardon Drinks a Little (2nd Story); 5/9 Fun House; 5/9 It Shoulda Been You; 5/10 Gigi; 5/16 The Second Mrs. Wilson (Long Wharf); 5/16 The Theory of Relativity (Goodspeed); 5/30 Skylight; 5/30 Something Rotten!; 5/31 Airline Highway; 6/4 Shing Lives: The Musical (Northlight Theatre, Skokie IL); 6/7 Calendar Girls (Ivoryton Playhouse); 6/13 Cagney; 6/13 Gloria; 6/14 Ever After (Paper Mill); 6/20 Smokey Joe's Café (Theatre by the Sea); 6/27 Victor/Victoria (Ogunquit Playhouse; seen previously on Broadway); 6/27 Unnecessary Farce (Hackmatack Playhouse); 6/28 Newsies (Boston; 5th time overall) … Forthcoming: 7/10 Bells Are Ringing (Berkshire Theatre; previously seen at Encores); 7/11 Man of La Mancha (Barrington Stage Co.); 7/11 Shining City (Barrington Stage Co.); 7/12 Off the Main Road (Williamstown Theatre Festival); 7/18 Penn & Teller on Broadway (seen previously on Broadway, plus twice in Las Vegas); 7/18 The Wild Party (Encores); 7/19 An Act of God; 7/26 1776 (Company Theatre, Norwell MA); 8/1 My Paris (Goodspeed); 8/7 A Little More Alive (Barrington Stage); 8/8 Unknown Soldier (Williamstown Theatre Festival); 8/8 His Girl Friday (previously seen at Trinity Square); 8/9 A Moon for the Misbegotten (Williamstown Theatre Festival); 8/16 Wonderful Town (Reagle Music Theatre); 8/22 Waitress (A.R.T.); 9/5 Amazing Grace (previously seen at Goodspeed); 9/5 Hamilton (previously seen at The Public); 9/6 Something Rotten! No. It has been well-documented that the sale of the Foxwoods had to include purchasing the contract for Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark to prevent the new owner from just shutting the show down.

Is there anything in that contract to stop the new owner from jacking up the rent price?

I'm sure the contract has them locked into the price until it expires. Then they could just kick them out if they no longer want them.

I think this terrible show has ran its course and should close soon!!! Also the grosses for this show lately have been very low. I wonder what the new name for this theater will.

In the article the new owners said they are looking forward to bringing good "music" to the theater. They did not say plays or musicals, but specifically music. It's Live Nation, I would not be surprise if it becomes a concert venue!

I havent seen the show, but is it at all tour-able? Could a scaled down version of the production be created? I feel like this show would be so successful, as it is/was on Broadway on the road.

^ They could not tour the show with the same design that they have now at the Foxwoods. I do not see how they could re-concieve the design without making MAJOR cuts. This is one show that HAS to have the spectacle. I loved this show, but the technical elements were what made it worth seeing... The book and score, while passable and serviceable, need those design elements to make this show work. It's a flawed show, but one that I enjoyed nonetheless.

I think once the summer months hit, SPIDER-MAN will see its tourists again and its numbers will increase. Then September it will fall but once the holidays come around, I'm sure it will pick up steam once again. But who knows? Anything is possible.

If the show tours it would probably be re-conceived as an arena tour/spectacle, as opposed to a show that is going to traditional theaters. That way they could potentially pack in 50,000 people over the course of a couple of days. Think along the scale of things like "Walking with Dinosaurs" and the arena production of "How to Train Your Dragon."

Unless I'm mistaken, Jovie, Live Nation are the current owners of the Foxwoods who have just sold it to the Ambassador Group, who have a number of West End theatres under their control. Also, a quick check on Wikipedia shows that a few years back they purchased 16 British theatres from Live Nation UK, which LN had been selling because they "are not core to our live music strategy." So that would suggest the opposite; more theatre in the Foxwoods' future and not more concerts/events.
Words don't deserve that kind of malarkey. They're innocent, neutral, precise, standing for this, describing that, meaning the other, so if you look after them you can build bridges across incomprehension and chaos. But when they get their corners knocked off, they're no good anymore…I don't think writers are sacred, but words are. They deserve respect. If you get the right ones in the right order, you can nudge the world a little.
