foreign student go to Broadway first time need help

Hi, everyone
My name is Fu-fu Huang, a second grates BFA female student in Taiwan.
I major in theatre directing at NTUA. I learn a little Taiwanese opera.
This summer vacation I'll go to NYC watch Broadway, Off and Off off Broadway show.I can watch school productions if I know when and where the shows act...(but I hardly get information) I'll arrive on 26th June, stay 20 days and watch theatre as much as possible. This is my first time go broad, also the first alone journey.
I don't know how to buy rush tickets correctly, direction of many theatre... actually I have no sense of direction. I need helps.O_Q Also I want to know about MFA at school in NYC.
I have many question...especially theatre. So I'm looking for someone to meet in NYC, have drinks, hang out or give me suggestion about watching different shows. No matter you are drama student or not. If you r drama student, I can know more American Theatre in Education. If you r not, it's OK. I can tell you Taiwanese or Chinese opera, drama in Taiwan if you interest.

p.s.Taiwan is a small island near by China. We use traditional Chinese, our traditional drama are 'Beijin Opera' and 'Taiwanese Opera'....etc.
