Many musicals have large ensembles, but the level they are featured varies greatly from show to show. What musicals do you think have ensembles that are the funnest to be in or are the most prominently featured in the show?

I personally loved being an ensemble member in Les Mis because the ensemble includes many different types of people and usually ensemble members get to be numerous different characters throughout the show ( prisoners, farmers, whores, townspeople, students, wedding guests, etc. ). And there are also tons of solos and small featured roles for the ensemble. Also, ensemble members get to stand on the giant barricade, so that's pretty cool.

Bye Bye Biride (Incredible energy and a ton of fun!)
The Sound of Music (Even though its just being a nun and in the ballroom scene)
Les Mis (^)
Carrie (its just...I can't even describe it.)

Seussical. I played Vlad Vladikoff once and despite only having one line, I played many ensemble tracks and had loads of fun.
Some people can get a thrill, knitting sweaters and sitting still. That's okay for some people, who don't know they're alive!

Cabaret! Being one of the kit Kay club girls or boys would be super fun!
Let me be your star, now wouldn't that be lovely?
