Auditions for FOOTLOOSE! (runs Feb. 1 – 24, 2013):
Footloose is a story of values, faith, traditions...and the challenges of growing up. From the familiar hits of its Oscar-nominated film score to dynamic new songs written for the stage version, Footloose celebrates the wisdom of not only listening to young people, but guiding them with a warm heart and an open mind.
First Auditions: December 8th from 5:00pm - 9:00pm / Ages: 12 -19 (teens) - no one younger than 12. There will be opportunities in Les Miserables and Best Christmas Pageant Ever for younger kids. Adults – Limited roles available.
If anyone can play an acoustic instrument (guitar, etc.) please bring it with you. 5:00pm - 7:00pm - Individual Auditions (If you would like to be considered for a principal role you must do an individual audition.) Please prepare 16-32 bars of a song and a one minute monologue. 7:00pm - 8:00pm - Group Auditions (Even if you are just interested in being a dancer you must attend group auditions.) No prepared material is needed. 8:00pm - 9:00pm - Dance Callbacks
December 16th from 6:00pm - 9:00pm Callbacks and auditions for those unable to attend on December 8th. If anyone can play an acoustic instrument (guitar, etc.) please bring it with you.
No Playhouse experience necessary...all are welcome to audition!
Rehearsals: The first rehearsal will be on December 19th from 6:00pm - 9:00pm (scripts and music will be handed out at this time). The next rehearsal will be on the evening of January 8, 2013.
