And it was super awkward.

Can't find a video or photo but there was a party (of course) and Serena said she loved their production of As You Like It and he said something to the effect of "Come back to The Public any time."

Anyone else see it?

That renovation won't pay for itself.

In terms of awkward Gossip Girl appearances, I think the winner is still Charles Isherwood.

As I've said elsewhere, I was student of Oskar's at UCLA and he was a truly brilliant and inspiring teacher--one of those rare instructors who truly changes your life by challenging the way you think.

But he was giving me grief over drinks one night because I was putting myself through grad school by working for a corporate law firm (and thereby supporting the corporate "elites"). I started rattling off the names of our publicly known clients--all of which had donated funds to support the Mark Taper Forum, where Oskar was the Head Dramaturg and a frequent director at the time. (He was a good sport and conceded that I had a point.)

After an appearance on GOSSIP GIRLS, I'm thinking Oskar may have come down off that high horse for good. LOL. Nonetheless, I can't think of anyone I'd rather have in charge of our predominant public theater nor anyone I'd better trust to bridge the gap between art, politics and commercial necessity.

I thought Serena was talking to a zombie, he was so stiff.
