Something about John Stamos and Goldie?

And new instant mommy NeNe going to lovers anonymous meetings with Stamos or something, yeah. Comic gold.

Oh right. I blocked out all that stuff after they did Norbit again with Nene.

I have never seen an episode of Real Anywives of Anywhere but accidentally punched in the wrong numbers for the channel I wanted. Suddenly, there Nene was, talking to the camera and making up colorful expressions and then it cuts to action from the housewives show and it's a visit back to whatever city it is and she's the triumphant success coming home the conquering heroine. Oh, she had so much to say about how much READING she has to do on that hugely successful sitcom she's on and how she's never read so much in her life and it's all great and everything but reading and learning lines is a pain in the ass and she is just exhausted from all that work. Gurrrrrl.

Naturally, I think it's safe to assume it's Next Stop, Broadway for her.

Isn't this cancelled yet?

I just read they're burning off the last two new episodes this week, probably so the show is nowhere near NBC during Sweeps Month in May.

I guess we can start fantasizing about plot lines and guest stars for the non-existent season two. Frankly, I'm hoping for an American Horror Story cross over for the finale of season one.

Namo, maybe Constance can move in next door and murder the whole family and then deliver Goldie's baby and kill Goldie.

Yeah both it and Go On are underperforming--which is why both are being burned off this way. I wonder if an hour of New Normal will excite audiences so much that Smash will have an epic jump and be saved for a third season?! (the answer of course is yes!)

The television insists that audiences just don't know how much they want Matthew Perry as a sitcom lead. If not Goon, they'll come up with something else.

I'm sure they're ending The New Normal this week to protect it, the way they did 30 Rock all the years it wasn't on during sweeps, which paid off for the show, if not the network.

Thank you Namo for stating what I've felt all along for Matthew Perry.

What's even harder is the television set's insistence that Matthey Perry's characters be involved in the world of professional sports, in some way.

Andrew Rannells' livetweeting is making it all worth it. I wonder how trashed he is right now.

So, I survived that whole season. The whole time I kept watching this episode I kept wondering if they live in some kind of alternate California where they don't have Prop 8 or if they were just having a symbolic marriage.

I'm ignoring everyone who is hating on Chandler Bing. LEAVE CHANDLER ALONE!

I'm not mad at Chandler. I am mad at the television set.

That was the California 30 Rock, right? I forgot Chanadler Bong was on it. (That came up on a video trivia game at my local last Friday night.)

It was California 30 Rock! And Sarah Paulson and her lisp played a version of Kristin Chenoweth. In one episode, when discussing Christianity and pre-marital sex, she said something like, "I may never get married, and I don't think God would want me to miss one of life's most wonderful pleasures or something." And I always imagine that was something Kristi once said. Although when she said it she probably didn't say pleathures, like Sarah would.

The television insists that Friends make good sitcom leads in general. The only reason Chandler was funny was because he wasn't the lead and we didn't have to watch him all the time.

^Thank you! I still can't figure out how/why he continues to get work on television. I never found him likeable on Friends (annoying at best). His whole persona annoys me.

I have it on pretty good authority that it is VERY unlikely that SMASH or THE NEW NORMAL will return to the schedule next year.

THE New Normal

I'm in the minority, but I will miss both of them.

I'll admit a tiny part of me will miss Smash. I gave up on this one pretty early on, when the 8 year old boy told Ellen Barkin she was going in the spank bank. I'm far from a prude, but that was just a bit much even for me.
