This is making the rounds today. It is becoming harder and harder for the GOP to suppress the true fuels of their party greed, fundamentalism and racism. After all, this is their first amendment as they love reminding us. They hide their hate behind "freedom of Speech".
Click here to see the cartoon in all its racist glory. I won't post the image here.

Its on Facebook plus a couple other right wing blogs. Not sure if any newspapers picked it up but I am watching this story closely.Have not heard any Republican comment on it in any way.The artist is a racist but many newspapers pick up his work. His name is Gary McCoy. Do a Google search.
I'm sure he'll be selling his artwork at the Convention and is even an invited guest.

As unfortunate as it is, I actually believe there are a vast number of Americans who would find this hysterical and more of a reason to vote Republican.
Those Blocked: SueStorm. N2N Nate. Good riddence to stupid! Rad-Z, shill begone!
Those Republicans that I know, including some family, get really angry with me when I bring up the GOP and race. They deny it yet there are SO MANY examples of it. The Obama as a Witch Doctor sign we see at Tea Party Rallies. The racist email a Republican official sent off showing the White House with a watermelon patch. The GOP politician referring to Obama as a monkey and so on and so on.I can site numerous examples backing up my claim and it really brings the worst out in them. They know it's true but feel admitting it somehow says they are racist(duh!)
I know for a fact those Republicans that I know would see this cartoon and either laugh or tell me it's no big deal.
I thought this was an interesting take on Romney's birtherism slur.

Yes BUT the southern Democrats who started it are no where near what Democratic Party has evolved into. More like the Old Southern Democrats are closer in ideology to modern Day Republicans.
Biden's "Back in chains" remark was really unfortunate. If it had been a Norhtern White group he was talking to it wouldn't have been anything to comment about. I don't think his intent was the racial overtones the turn of phrase had at the gathering where it was used.

Really? So only Black folks worked on chain gangs or are "chained to their desks" at work, etc? I have felt chained to my studio quite often specially when under a heavy deadline!
I guess Jacob Marley was a Black Ghost.

Chain gangs were nowhere near as frequent in the North as in the South and the imagery associated with the gangs certainly isn't white oriented (beyond the sadistic overseers).
Jacob Marley's ghost was wearing his chains due to his own earthly behavior.
No... Chains have always been used as a term or symbol of imprisonment. Granted it does have a more racial meaning when used by an American White Male to group of Black voters. Whould there have been as much of an outrage if Biden had been black? Or if it were another black leader who used the phrase? Or if, as I had said before, it was a mixed to white audience?
Those Blocked: SueStorm. N2N Nate. Good riddence to stupid! Rad-Z, shill begone!
If it had been a black speaker to a black audience it would have caused more outrage. If it were Biden to a white audience it would have drawn at most head shakes and discounted as 'Joe screwed up again.' A mixed audience would have generated a mixed reaction - blacks angry, whites thinking how stupid a move it was.
Anyone who think Biden's remarks were racist is an idiot. No question.
Biden addressed the NAACP convention just last month and was praised and loved. If what he said was so offensive why hasn't the NAACP condemned his remarks? Al Sharpton? Jessee Jackson? Why? Because they know Joe Biden and his remarks were not racist.
Yawper, you come here and change the subject yet you have no comment on the racist cartoon? Do you think it's funny? You clearly seem to be trying to shift focus from Racist Republicans. Tell us all what you think of the cartoon.

It's a swipe a Joe Biden and his 'chains' comment....
It's not aimed at Obama.
At least that's how I took it.

Of course it's a swipe at Biden and political tactics. The Republican outrage is as faux as anything. Both sides do it. Biden, being Biden, is about the only one who can get away with it so easily.
I don't doubt it was a swipe at Biden. It's also racist.I'm also taking into consideration the artist's past work.Everything about this is racist.

Well, if this guy has a history of supporting the Republicans, why should you be surprised.
It's a political cartoon...

I don't understand those who want to call this racist. This was like when forgettable chick #1 on The Apprentice said, "Well, if that isn't the pot calling the kettle black!" to which Omarosa replied, "What was that?! What was that racist thing you just said to me?!" The word black isn't always about skin tone. The phrase "in chains" isn't exclusive to former slaves. Yes, slaves were in chains. So were prisoners, since the beginning of time, regardless of skin tone. I have felt chained to my desk. When I am depressed, I feel chained to my house. When my baby is born, I am sure I will feel chained to my child. "Being in chains" refers to being stuck to and controlled by something. Had a the leader of the KKK said it to a room full of black people, then yes, it would probably justifiably be seen as racist. It's not what Biden meant and EVERYONE knows that. People are trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill, as both sides are wont to do.
Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!
BTW: I remember that kettle black/Omarosa thing. haha

I was not aware of this artist until I saw this cartoon. So yeah, I was surprised.I'd be even more surprised if a major newspaper picked this up.
JG2,I see where you are coming from but I still feel it is racist. We all see something different I guess. The GOP's history with this president.Mitt's Birther slur yesterday and now this just shows it's what 'they' think is funny.
I know racism when I see it.Politics or power has nothing to do with this, IMO.
