While liberals go orgasmic over a Romney typo, we have President Obama talking about "Polish death camps" , thus pissing off the president of Poland!

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/05/31/world/europe/poland-bristles-as-obama-says-polish-death-camps.html

WASHINGTON — On May 28 of last year, President Obama stood next to Prime Minister Donald Tusk of Poland in Warsaw and declared he would support new rules to help more Poles get tourist visas to the United States. “If you’ve lived in Chicago and you haven’t become a little bit Polish,” Mr. Obama joked, “there’s something wrong with you.”
A year later, the president made himself the target of a searing denunciation by Mr. Tusk after he referred on Tuesday to a “Polish death camp,” instead of a Nazi death camp in Poland, in bestowing a Presidential Medal of Freedom on Jan Karski, a hero of the Polish resistance to the Germans during World War II. Mr. Obama was guilty of “ignorance, lack of knowledge, bad intentions,” Mr. Tusk said.

The White House expressed regret for what it described as a “misstatement.” But Mr. Tusk was not mollified, saying in a statement posted on his Web site that the United States needed to “end this with class.” Poland’s president, Bronislaw Komorowski, sent a more diplomatically worded letter to Mr. Obama asking him to correct the record.

Big bad news today for President Obama; only 69,000 jobs created in May and unemployment RISES to 8.2%.
Geez, if you're so stupid you can't stimulate an economy with nearly $1 trillion, then your MIGHT be in the wrong job.

Friday's jobs report -- only 69,000 new jobs created in May and job creation for March and April revised downward -- was close to the worst possible news for President Obama. For the third year in a row, the economy appears to have stalled in the spring after perking up in winter.

Voters' views of where the economy is headed are key for both Obama and Mitt Romney, his Republican challenger.

Aww, nice try, but that isn't going to work, Diva! But, here is a new article YOU might be interested in reading:

MIAMI—At a hastily assembled press conference Tuesday, presidential candidate Mitt Romney reached out to the nation's Hispanics, asking if they would please return the watch he had left on his dresser earlier. "As I stand before you today, I wish to issue an appeal to my Hispanic friends all across this great land of ours: Please do the right thing and give me back my property," said Romney, adding that while he didn't want to accuse the nation's 21.7 million registered Hispanic voters of stealing the watch, he was certain that no one in his family stole it, and that watches don't just walk off by themselves. "I pledge to every single Hispanic-American—whether you came here from Mexico to start a new life for your family or fled the brutality of Castro's Cuba—that if my watch is put back in its rightful place in the next two hours, I will consider the matter closed and no one will be the wiser." With the watch still not returned at press time, Romney begged the nation's Hispanics, "Please don't make me call the—how do you say it? El policío? La policía? The appropriate authorities."

I thought you might want to post that in that OTHER thread, you know, the one that has mostly links to LEFT-WING opinion writers and pages like Rachel Maddow, Huffinton Post, Mediaite, MSNBC, personal blogs and videos from the official Obama Campaign YouTube channel!!
Notice that in my little thread here, I link to actual NEWS web articles like The Washington Post, LA Times and NY Times (not known for their support of right-wingers) and from YouTube videos not necessarily associated with the Romney campaign!
Oh, and I will try to make sure that I don't get "fooled" by those nasty fake news organizations like THE ONION or FREE WOODS POST (where the banner on the top of the page says "NEWS THAT'S ALMOST RELIABLE") I will also try to refrain from references to the size of the candidate's sex organs.

David Brooks, NY Times columnist: " I question the Obama decision to go after Bain and to start negative. They've decided to focus in a negative way, and this seems to me to be self destructive. People to the left of Obama they like him personally, they admire him. And now I think they are at risk of throwing that away by starting negative, by going extremely tough, extremely hard, looking conventional, and frankly RUNNING ADS THAT ARE INACCURATE. The ad they ran against the steel company that Bain took over had a COUPLE OF INACCURACIES that were the BASIS OF THE AD. They said the company was successful until Bain took it over; THAT'S FALSE. They said Romney threw people out into the street; ROMNEY WAS GONE BY THEN. They said they were loading up debt, these companies, and dumping them. These companies have no higher default rates than anybody else. This damages (Obama's) personal reputation."
----Meet the Press, May 27, 2012

Here you have a columnist from the NY TIMES basically saying that Obama's attack ad on Romney WAS A LIE!! And I am not getting this from some far right-wing opinion web site; this is from NBC News and the NY Times!

"I find the attacks surprising from many perspectives. First of all, capitalism has lifted more people out of poverty than any other economic system in the world. Second, let us stipulate that the goal IS to lift as many people out of poverty and the way you do that is with a job. Third, successful companies create jobs, failing companies destroy jobs. I think President Obama is indicating what many of us have suspected for some time; he ACTUALLY DOESN'T UNDERSTAND HOW THE ECONOMY WORKS. Bain capital invested in small start-ups with the goal to make them successful. JOBS WERE CREATED. Finally, I find this attack, so strange. This was a man, Barack Obama, who went to American people and said, "I am a community organizer, I am an untenured law professor, I am a junior senator who has not completed a single term, I am qualified to be President. But Mitt Romney, a governor of a major state with 25 years of experience in the private sector is not qualified to be president," I find it a very surprising argument and I don;t think it's going to work."

Uh-oh!
Has President Obama lost MAUREEN DOWD??????

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/06/03/opinion/sunday/dowd-dreaming-of-a-superhero.html?_r=1&ref=opinion

Says MISS DOWD:
"A Times article by Jo Becker and Scott Shane revealed that the liberal law professor who campaigned against torture and the Iraq war now personally makes the final decisions on the “kill list,” targets for drone strikes. “A unilateral campaign of death is untenable,” the editorial asserted.

On Thursday, Bill Clinton once more telegraphed that he considers Obama a lightweight who should not have bested his wife. Bluntly contradicting the Obama campaign theme that Romney is a heartless corporate raider, Clinton told CNN that the Republican’s record at Bain was “sterling.”

Covering a humorous W. at the unveiling of his portrait, the White House press actually seemed nostalgic for the president who bollixed up Afghanistan, Iraq, Katrina and the economy — a sure sign that the Obama magic is flagging. The president who started off with such dazzle now seems incapable of stimulating either the economy or the voters. His campaign is offering Obama 2012 car magnets for a donation of $10; cat collars reading “I Meow for Michelle” for $12; an Obama grill spatula for $40, and discounted hoodies and T-shirts. How the mighty have fallen.

Once glowing, his press is now burning. “To a very real degree, 2008’s candidate of hope stands poised to become 2012’s candidate of fear,” John Heilemann wrote in New York magazine, noting that because Obama feels he can’t run on his record, his campaign will resort to nuking Romney.

In his new book, “A Nation of Wusses,” the Democrat Ed Rendell, the former governor of Pennsylvania, wonders how “the best communicator in campaign history” lost his touch."

Obama was a member of THE NEW PARTY????

When the story of Obama's association with the New Party first broke in 2008, Obama campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt claimed that Obama had never been a member.

"Right-wing hatchet man and conspiracy theorist, Stanley Kurtz is pushing a new crackpot smear against Barack falsely claiming he was a member of something called the New Party.
But the truth is Barack has been a member of only one political party, the Democratic Party. In all six primary campaigns of his career, Barack has has run as a Democrat. The New Party did support Barack once in 1996, but he was the only candidate on the ballot in his race and never solicited the endorsement."

From Obama's FIGHT THE SMEARS web page.

Now, through careful archival research, Kurtz has proven his case--and proven once again that there are many people on the left who have been willing to misrepresent and obscure facts about Barack Obama, as well as many in the mainstream media who have acted as Obama's accomplices rather than searching for the truth.
Kurtz writes:
Minutes of the meeting on January 11, 1996, of the New Party’s Chicago chapter read as follows:
"Barack Obama, candidate for State Senate in the 13th Legislative District, gave a statement to the membership and answered questions. He signed the New Party “Candidate Contract” and requested an endorsement from the New Party. He also joined the New Party."

Consistent with this, a roster of the Chicago chapter of the New Party from early 1997 lists Obama as a member, with January 11, 1996, indicated as the date he joined...

Lol it's amazing that the right really can't come up with anything to smear Obama with. The New Party?? Who cares?!? About as many people who care about Saul Alinsky. In other words, no one.

Unfortunately, Pres. Obama believes the federal government can create economic growth, even though his nearly $1 trillion "stimulus" package proved otherwise.

Pardon me a moment while I pat myself on the back.
I think I've done a pretty good job of keeping this thread up to date with relevant, topical and SOUNDLY SOURCED articles and quotes. I occasionally take a look at that OTHER thread and I am shocked at the ridiculous links to questionable sources, references to cartoons, silly homemade posters, bumper stickers and banners that look like they were made by a second grader and that might include the quote "Nanna Nanna boo boo!".
It never ceases to amaze me-- the immaturity and ignorance of the left.
I will continue to fill this thread with reputable and newsworthy posts (NY Times, LA Times, CBS News, MSNBC, Baltimore Sun, Washington Post, Washington TImes, and Obam's own YouTUbe channel) and I will refrain from the childish lampooning that others tend to wallow in. I have put great effort in avoiding links to pages that are often (erroneously) referred to as "right-wing" supporters; Drudge, Fox News, NY Post, NewsBusters etc. While that OTHER thread does nothing BUT provide links to left-wing pages (Huffington Post, Rachel Maddow, Patriot News (?), Mediaite, The New Civil RIghts Movement!!(????), Mashable (???), The Stranger,---yeah, THOSE are all highly respected news organizations, LOL!), I have strived to stick to REPUTABLE news sources. After all, this is the next President of the United States we are talking about here.
