She just tweeted about it... not much info on link she posted. Wonder if there will be any Dreamgirls dish?!

I think Miss Ralph is quite talented and I loved her in the original DREAMGIRLS.

But if there is NOT a good deal of DREAMGIRLS dish, why would I want to read her book?

Maybe to learn about Moesha, her hit song In the Evening or her stint in Millie?! LOL Who knows?!

Thanks for the tips, Deena. You have followed her career better than I.

As I said I loved her in DREAMGIRLS. She was also very good in a concert version of APPLAUSE in LA about 7 years ago.

In between, I don't know what she did. So I guess I do need to read the book...

Will this debut on the clearance rack or will I have to wait a week?

I hope there is a chapter on the First Wives Club mess titled, "I'm Readddayyy For Change!"

She's originated two Broadway shows and been a replacement for a third. That ought to be enough material for one chapter. What else is she going to talk about?

Divas Simply Singing can be another. She does a LOT for AIDS charity.

I for one, look forward to reading it.

Was she abused by father or boyfriend? That's a chapter. Well at least it worked for Oprah.

What about the chapter on Sister Act 2?

When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain. -Kad

I've read it. It's a life-lessons book more than a tell-all memoir, but the Dreamgirls material is good. Some juicy stuff on Jennifer Holiday. And lovely material on Michael Bennett.

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

I thought Sheryl Lee Ralph performed in a short-lived 1970's variety show titled "Three Girls Three". Upon doing a Google search, it was not S.L.R., but Debbie Allen, Ellen Foley and Mimi Kennedy. This was a 1977 variety series that lasted 4 episodes. My mistake. from RC in Austin, TExas

"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

I hope there will be a second volume that focuses exclusively on her experience starring in THE FIRST WIVES CLUB.
