I saw Bring It On last night at the Ahmanson.

First, I'll lead with, I had never seen the movie, but I don't think anyone had trouble keeping up with the plot.

At intermission, my friend summed it up, "Just when i think it's a train wreck, it does something great."

My overall review, the show was good, not great, but not terrible. It has issues, but ultimately, overcomes most of them. I'm not sure I'd recommend it, but am not sorry I went, especially @ Hot Tix price. I'm really not sure I'd recommend it at $100, but people seemed to enjoy it. It got a standing ovation, but at the Ahmanson, that's a low bar.

As said in other reviews, the program did not have a song list. I'm not sure if this was artistic choice or show is a work in progress and changing.

Ultimately, while not my favorite show of all times, I applaud CTGLA for scheduling the pre Broadway shows and hope Funny Girl doesn't put a stop to future shows.

I'm looking forward to seeing American Idiot again and will actually buy real tickets with a group of friends vs Hot tix.. (don't hate, I flew to NYC just to see it and thought it was fun) (Has anyone started the "Bring Billie Joe to the Ahmanson thread yet?")
