I have to say that I enjoyed this book from start to finish. For me being not a technical person there were times when the book got rather technical but I still could understand, for the most part, what was written. I never found the book boring. Fascinating to read about the skill and knowledge required for the job of a mixer. And the dedicated discipline. And the politics. Interesting that during La Mancha Brian Stokes Mitchell had the power to have a mixer replaced if he deemed it necessary (he didn't). Also interesting to read that Arthur Laurents, asshole extraordinaire, told someone who was mixing that they didn't have the "emotional capacity" to mix his show. The name of the show was not mentioned.
