What is the deal with Fat Camp? The Dodgers are now producing it. I remember it from NYMF a few years ago. So is this an out of town tryout or a regional gig or something? I didn't think that the Dodgers did regional gigs? Anyone have any info on this?

Posted: 6/10/11 at 3:55pmWas in auditions for this- it's sort of a tryout, they're using the production at the Hanna to further streamline the book/score to prepare it for a not-yet-announced Broadway or off-Broadway production. The show changed a bit since last summer's workshop and it seems like Matt/Randy/Tim are trying to get it as close to perfect as possible before risking a commercial run. It's the same director and much of the same team (with a number of returning cast members) as the workshop last year.

Posted: 6/10/11 at 5:58pmso is this a possible "new show" for next year? It just seems odd that the DODGERS would get involved with an off-bway show. I mean why waste time when you have one of the biggest hits on broadway and in how many other countries and now 2 tours? I think this won some awards at NYMF if I am not mistaken.
