If I remember correctly.. the Golden is a very small theater so as far as viewing the cheap seats are fine... but is the leg space really bad? Is that the catch?
Its no worse than the orchestra seats at The Golden. It's tight seating all around. I'm 5'8" and was definitely hitting the chair in front of me. Luckily their were a few empty seats in the last two rows so we were able to spread out a bit and stretch.
Good. Thanks for the info guys. I am 6'2. I went ahead and got these seats. I don't mind suffering for a few hours to see this play. The nightmare of course would be to have a equally tall person next to me. To many things to see and want to keep things in budget.
You'll be okay. I'mn 6'1" and was in them last night. Leg room is actually not too bad. It's more that they're particularly narrow. And as others have said, it's totally worth it. Great production, great performances. Prepare for surround sound sniffling.
I just bought row G mezz on the aisle for the end of June and had a similar issue, there are too many shows to see for my budget. Glad to hear the seats are good.
I went Tuesday night, and they still had $36.50 anyone rush seats (back orchestra) available at 7:30pm. I don't know what it's gonna be like now that the reviews are out, but it's something to consider.
The last two rows of the mezz (G and H) are supposed to be $26.50 regular price. However, I think the discount for orchestra and front mezz is still valid, so you may get a deal for better seats.
I'll be in one of those seats Saturday night. Couldn't be more excited. I'll be flying solo, so if any BWWers will also be in attendance, I'd love to chat during intermission/after the show.
