A glowing review from the San Antonio Express News. Chicago is currently playing in S.A. until Feb. 1, 2015.

Does anyone know if the tour is continuing into the next 2015 - 2016 season? I missed it in Nashville and would love to try to catch it somewhere somewhat close to me.

Here with Terra C MacLeod at the San Antonio Majestic Theatre stage door, on a rainy Saturday afternoon. I have to get some din din and get ready for the 8 pm show.

I don't know how to post multiple pictures,so here goes. I had a fantastic time at the Majestic. The Saturday, January 31st shows were awesome! Bianca Marroquin was simple amazing as Roxie Hart. Throughout the years, she had added her own personal touches to the role. She's quite the comedienne at times and very vivacious. What can I say about Miss Terra C. Her role of Velma Kelly is likeable, even though she murdered her husband and sister. The role is quite arduous, but she does it with finesse and an element of steel. C. Newcomer is simple stunning as Mary Sunshine. He is quite believable as a woman. I was amazed that many in the audience were stunned at "the reveal." His voice is sublime. You could close your eyes and think you were at an opera. (He is part of the upcoming cast of "The Visit.") John O'Hurley is charming as Billy Flynn. He got quite a bit of applause in his intro. Roz Ryan (as Mama Morton) does an amazing job. Her voice is quite captivating and filled with gusto. Jacob Keith Watson (Amos) is outstanding as Amos. He has a fresh faced appeal about him. The audience was truly sympathizing with his character. This talented man has quite a future with the show. After the show, someone wanted a group picture, so I also managed to take that picture as well. He is the one on the left. Christophe Caballero (swing)played the role of Aaron in the first show, while Colt Adam Weiss performed in the second show. Both of them were awesome! At the stage door, Christophe was chatting with the other fans for a while. There was a bit of a drizzle while he waited for other castmates to emerge. I asked him about the typhoon in the Philippines. He said that they escaped the worst of the effects. Very charming fellow. I spoke a wee bit with some of the ensemble. Chris LeBeau spoke about the next tour stop (Gainesville FL). The subject of BWW did come up in the conversation. Some of them mention that they're familiar with this board. I did say that most of the posts in here are o.k., while some are indifferent and snarky. Allison Blair McDowell (Mona) is also a Roxie Hart AND Velma Kelly understudy. I truly admire anyone who can handle both difficult roles. Adam Pellegrine (Harry/Martin Harrison)makes his presence felt on the stage. He's a very good performer...and quite easy on the eyes. Finally, I did get a surprise when Miss Terra C presented me with an (updated) Chicago programme, signed by the cast. It was quite a generous gesture. It's too bad the Playbill didn't included pictures of the cast. All in all, I had a very wonderful time with both shows. My next tour stop is April 4th (2015) in Fort Worth, TX (west of Dallas). RC in San Antonio, TX

Chicago cast members at the stage door. The smiling fellow on the left is Jacob Keith Watson (Amos Hart). I'm sorry I don't recognize some of the other persons in the photo. The local Playbill didn't include pictures for cast members.

I'm curious as to who u/s each role(s) on the tour. I know Caballero covers Mary Sunshine.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Today is the dawn of a new age..... when Carly Hughes begins her run as a new "Velma Kelly" in "Chicago." It's wonderful to have her in the show. Do I hear an amen?

Here's a clip of Jennifer Nettles performing "Me and My Baby". She seems to dance fairly well. I noticed that the choreography is modified instead of the usual full-out routine. The voice is kind of interesting.

Today is Melissa Rae Mahon's last day with the show. She is currently "Go To Hell Kitty" and one of the three Roxie understudies. Peter Nelson recently returned to the show (as Martin Harrison) after a stint with Cinderella. P.S. Oh, wow.... I didn't realize that this thread had passed the 1 millionth view mark. Awesome! (Here's a little gif in honor of surpassing 1,000,000 views....and counting!)

Saw the show yesterday and Jennifer Nettles blew me away. Those that know me know I've seen this show about five dozen times, and Jennifer easily makes her way to one of my Top Five Roxies.

Her staging was adjusted at parts - we lose the cartwheel in the Hot Honey Rag, some of Me and My Baby is simplified a bit, and she's a bit tentative on the ladder in Funny Honey - what she can do, she fully goes for it and looks like she's having a blast doing it. (And looks amazing, her body is banging' right now!)

Of course, she sang fantastically. She definitely works to find places to let her go full out, and when she does it's thrilling. But even with her other numbers, she nails each one easily. And that goes to my greatest surprise - her acting. She's no Meryl, obviously. But having seen the show as many times as I have, it takes a lot to impress me on the acting side, and she found moments in there I haven't laughed at in a long time. I don't know if it's a natural outgrowth from her comfort on stage all these years, or someone's been working her line readings, but either way, she looks to be a gifted, natural comic actress with an enthusiasm that's beyond infectious.

Oh, and the rest? Well, as we all know, Carly Hughes has come in, and the show is so much better for it. The show needed someone strong to equal the dynamic Nettles, and they have it in Hughes. Sexy as all hell, with a bold personality, yet with an underlying simmer of clenched fire, it's a potent package. Like Nettles, she had the audience in her hand from the first moment and she never let it go. She's a breath of fresh air.

In any case, I was truly, truly, impressed. If the Weisslers had any sense, they throw some money and keep Nettles and Hughes around for an extension! But in case they can't, get out and see this crew while you can!!
