What did everyone think last night?

I thought the Bride of Blackenstein was absolutely hilarious. I chuckled a few times (a couple of Weekend Update jokes, digital short, Mr. Wizard) but otherwise thought it was kind of weak.

Bride of Blackenstein, though was one of the first truly original, fully fleshed out skits they've done in a long while. Did they bring in a new writer for that or something?

And again, Kristen Wiig skits bombed - the spa thing was painful, and Michelle Bachmann? Really? So obvious.

I didn't catch the whole thing, but they could have done SO much more with the "Don't Forget the Lyrics" sketch.

Jesse Eisenberg was totally confident and cute as a button. I kind of want to do him now.

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

Ditto, Borstal! lol Eisenberg was great.

Bride of Blackenstein was one of my favorite sketches ever. Nicki Minaj was a riot. I just can't get into her music, however.

Her outfit was a trip. It looks like she was in the middle of a whipped cream explosion

The Blackenstein sketch was one of the funniest non political skit they have done in along long time.

I don't get her music at all, but she was great in that skit.

When I read this the first time around, I mistook "button" for "bottom."

Anyway, carry on...

Miley was a terrific host last night. I really enjoyed her monlogue, which she actually made good points. Her impersonation of Justin Beiber was funny. She's obvously no Charmian Carr when it came to singing "Sixteeen Going on Seventeen" though.

But she sang a lot and she sang on key and that is more than can be said of the much more highly praised whoever that girl was Kanye West interrupted.

Also, her Fergie impersonation was really funny.

I thought she was pretty funny, and I thought the show pretty good overall, after a few weeks of duds (the Dana Carvey show was horrible).

"But she sang a lot and she sang on key"

Maybe it was because I'm so used to listening to Charmain's version. The only other person I've heard sing that song is Sophie Bould, who played Leisl in the 2006 London revival.

I didn't think Tina would play Sarah again tonight, but I am glad she did. I loved it when she said, "This week we got rid of one of the world's greatest villains and I am for one thrilled to say good riddance to Katie Couric." "I plan on running for President every four years. It's my Olympics and I am planning on getting a whole bunch of silvers."

I love Tina Fey and I love Maya Rudolph- so I loved the monologue. Also LOVED the musical guest- Ellie Goulding! This is the first time I heard her! The Sarah Palin thing was pretty funny and I'm glad they brought back Hammond for Trump!

The Palin line was good and the Bachmann bit was sooooooo accurate. Would have just enjoyed Trump, Bachmann, and Palin (I was seriously surprised that Sudeikis did nothing for me as Romney, who I thought was the best choice to play him in the cast).

That skit and the monologue were the only stuff I care for thus far. Loved seeing Rudolph and Hammond back.

Shocked the nerds haven't started a main board thread about The Little Mermaid meets Osama's corpse. I expected "The Under the Sea parody was AMAZING."

I laughed all through the news. I loved them making fun of conspiracy theorists: "... making Obama the first black person in history who has to PROVE he killed someone...."

And Stefon. I shall never tire of Stefon.

I had to keep pausing the show during Stefan, I was laughing so hard. And that natural childbirth skit was brilliant as was the Mothers Day card commercial which will give me nightmares for years.

Best part about Stefon is Bill Hader has NEVER been able to get through an entire skit without losing it.IMO,that's what makes it.Seth and Bill trying to keep a straight face. Its only a matter of time before Lorne Michaels announces the "Stefon Movie".

Loved the pregnancy skit. Inspired.

Stefon was funny (love when he kissed Seth Meyers)

The Little Mermaid was a ok, some good lines but kind of a let down overall.

Also loved the Michael Bolton/Lonely Island short.

Maybe it's my deep love for Charlie or maybe it was just because I watched with two of my best friends, but I laughed harder last night than I have all season. I didn't love the cold open or the one about the dolphin, but otherwise I thought it was a really funny episode.

I am curious why Armisen has note done any Obama bits so far.

Has he retired it or is there any other reason why not. The bit with The freakasauras reminded me of the other bit done by the guy who starred in it (his name escapes me) .
