"Hey guys, crazy question: Is our friend Claire actually Chris Hemsworth?"

"I knew I shouldn't have hired these men when they showed up with little dance bags that said, 'Tisch School of the Arts' and then they asked if I supplied character shoes. Now, gentlemen, listen up: If you want to continue working at this establishment, you must expose your stinky peanut and testiballs."

Last night's show was pretty good.

Am I right Bitches?

ETA: I am really impressed with his American accent!

Being such a musical theatre nerd, I was a sucker for "Debra's Time." Cecily Strong is on fire this season.

Otherwise, I thought it was a sloppy episode, lots of line deliveries made it seem like the actors hadn't seen any of the dialogue before that moment, lots of missed cues and flubbed lines. And then they repeated a filmed bit because of timing issues. I think Hemsworth is game but after the giddiness of Ryan Gosling's stint last week, this was considerably less memorable.

"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"

I felt he was a bit of the problem for that episode as far as the line readings went.

Also, I've seen them do variations on the "host is a douche" before in the monologue, but it never involved depictions of physical violence when it's been a Marty Short or a Steve Martin, who could somehow make you laugh with their behavior and not turn against them.  I think that set a certain tone with Hemsworth that wasn't great.

Another thing, maybe Che and Jost should only be allowed to mutter one thing per person per week when the camera has moved onto a new story with the other anchor?  Or maybe only one a week, total.

OK, I LOLed a couple times during Meet Your Second Wife. Leslie Jones didn't have to say a word!

MEET YOUR SECOND WIFE was genius on every single level. I'd say it deserves a place on the "funniest skits of all time" list.

This is episode in general is close to perfection. And Maya Rudolph. MAYA. F'ING. RUDOLPH.

They are working on her Variety Show which she will co-host with Martin Short. It will be shot here in NY! TV is needing a variety show. Hopefully this combination where work where NPH failed.

The only dud was the lesbian sketch, I thought. The rest of the episode was was pretty great. And I was just thinking how for a last show of the year the episode was short on surprise guests when suddenly there was Maya Rudolph walking away with the rest of the show

Well, like most sketches he's in, Keenan ruined that Lesbian sketch. I'm praying that this will be his last season. It's past time for him to leave.

His Bill Cosby was wonderful.

His character in the Lesbian sketch, is a reoccuring charater.

ETA: I had to be difficult for him to do that as Cosby was his mentor.

The Meet Your Second Wife skit was an instant classic.  Hilarious, to the point, and I don't think anyone broke during it at all.

I'm a big Bruce Springsteen fan, so loved his music throughout as well. My wife and I were so excited when he did Santa Claus Is Coming to Town at the end.

The Christmas shows always seem to be the best.

I agree, it's time for Keenan to leave. That lesbian skit was the only weak spot in an otherwise very strong episode.

That sketch with Sarah and two Hillarys was great!

I think the criticisms of Keenan are valid, although I think that that sketch would have stunk with anyone.  My favorite Keenan characters were the "Zut alors!" guy on Update and the host of What's Up With That.

No one does Palin's word salad like Tina Fey!

Meet Your Second Wife was genius, and how great to see a return of Bronx Beat! I loved the addition of Tina's character- the accent was spot-on and hilarious.

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

Switch “Zut alors!” guy (Jean K Jean) with the “Hey, SHUT UP! We did this for YOU!! ” gym teacher and those are my favs. Jean K Jean rubbed me the wrong way from the start, it's just a rehash of Pierre Escargot from All That. I know that's not actually true, they're not the same character at all. But as an 80s baby I have a strong fondness for Pierre and Kenan+Parisian accent will always = Mssr. Escargot.

Honourable mention goes to Reese De'What from Cinema Classics. The alternate Casablanca ending sketch was where Kate McKinnon became a star for me, but even with how funny she was in that sketch I still remember Reese just as equally and he only bookends the sketch. Hearing him pronounce his last name puts me in stitches.

You're reminding me of people you hear at the movies asking questions every ten seconds, "Who is that? Why is that guy walking down the street? Who's that lady coming up to him? Uh-oh, why did that car go by? Why is it so dark in this theater?" - FindingNamo on strummergirl

"If artists were machines, then I'm just a different kind of machine...I'd probably be a toaster. Actually, I'd be a toaster oven because they're more versatile. And I like making grilled cheese" -Regina Spektor

"That's, like, twelve shows! ...Or seven." -Crazy SA Fangirl

"They say that just being relaxed is the most important thing [in acting]. I take that to another level, I think kinda like yawning and...like being partially asleep onstage is also good, but whatever." - Sherie Rene Scott

Selena should have been the host and music guest. I do not like this host. I don't even know who she is.

Nice to see Sarah Palin back with her Dinner Theatre patron outfit. I did think however that the sketch would have worked a little better if the cues would have been sharper and Tina had built her enthusiasm into a frenzy.

It was a very stressful show this week due to the blizzard. Last minute rehearsals, things not arriving. I am amazed how well the show turned out! I am sure many were put up in the Waldorf-Astoria last night!

It played understandably under-rehearsed to me but Ronda Rousey seemed to be genuinely having fun even if she didn't have much to do. Often that's all the show needs to make it work.

Loved the SAG award segment, the bullying bit (Vanessa Bayer is on fire this season), and especially Bland Man which I think is a great concept to showcase the incredible female cast on the show right now. Tina Fey's Palin seemed a bit more tentative than in past outings, but she's so good as that character and Darrell Hammond is such a perfect Trump that it was still a highlight of the evening.

Was that new guy just not in any live scenes or did he not make it to the show?

She could barely handle the short opening bit and The Bachelor sketch.  And she seemed lost during her second performance.  I doubt she could have made it through a full show.  I also found it rude and class-less that she couldn't even acknowledge the great finger snappers and the dancers that made her performances partly bearable at the end of each song.
