Once you invite this guy, you have to know he would act up. I blame them for telling the guy to come & perform

About 1 hour of that show could have been replaced with clips of performers work especially those who started the show (Belushi/Ackroyd/Curtin). Needed a long clip of Point/ Counterpoint with Ackroyd & Curtain. They also needed some Emily Latella & Belushi doing his St Patrick's day rant.

Out of 10 I gave it a 7.5

Victoria Jackson was invited, I sat next to her and we talked of the Toonces Days. She was not in 8H though, she was in 8G but she was free to roam. She wasn't given air time other then clips of her doing her handstand on the Update desk. This might be because other then that, Toonces and I Am Not A Bimbo song on the ukulele she really had no stand out characters.

The one time she did Roseanne on The Global Warming Christmas Special was funny.

Horse, for several seasons I was a regular skit extra (yes, that's what we were called) and worked the show about twice a month.

Then, I was once in a photo segment which was cruel to me and another actress, surprise cruelty written by David Spade.

And, I was also in an independent film made for SNL.

Unfortunately Toonces did not make the cut. A lot of my stuff did make it in though, The Breakfastville costumes for example. Namo, she played Sally Struthers on that sketch I believe... I might be wrong...

Oh yeah, working on SNL was tons of fun! I'll never forget those days. I met one of my best friends to this day on the show. What David Spade pulled wasn't fun, though!

Next show, I will be starting my 28th year with SNL. This Gala was like an incredible High School Reunion! Overall, knowing the insane craziness the occurred during putting this together in these past few weeks, I am amazed at how good it was. A three and one half hour LIVE SHOW! Freaking amazing! My hat is off to all my very talented colleagues, Producers, Director and of course Lorne, Who, after having one or two two many, I congratulated, thanked him and told him he was a F*cking Genius. I HOPE I still have a job a week from Saturday!

Anyway, I agree with you, Snafu. Is SNL always perfect? No, but Sunday's show was really cool. I mean, how many shows have 40 years of footage and memories from their runs? Not that many and none like SNL. I admire anyone who can put together a 22 episode season of a show that is essentially created the week of when a new episode is going to air. And then you have the live factor where anything can happen.

SNAFU deserves so much credit for being an important part of such an important show! good for you,, and congrats. Your job can be fun but I bet it's also tough at times. Being an extra is definitely not important and only fun.

SNAFU, I've often wondered about that. My friend and I were very naughty and we used to leave holding and run all around Studio H into places that we shouldn't be, especially at the food table!

As for the "legacy", yes, there have been good years and bad years. (I had forgotten how I'd almost stopped watching when Eddie Murphy arrived to "save" the show.)

But I think SNL has been rather consistently funny for several years now. With Hader gone, it may not have a genius on the order of a Belushi or Murphy, but the writing is consistently funny as is the cast.

I was super busy Sunday night so watched the show on DVR in pieces. Finally just finished it and found the whole thing very rewarding.

And OF COURSE our gal Victoria Jackson is trying to stir ****e for being placed in the overflow room.
