Somebody's ox was gored? I don't get the metaphor? A sketch making fun of Long Island and New Jersey mobster stereotypes gored some sort of ox?

I mean, it took 28 years for a council in Britain to lift its ban on "The Life of Brian," haven't people calmed down a little since then?
It's a little creepy but it would be worse if you knew what you were talking about.

With exception of the courtroom sketch I found very little to laugh at in this week's episode. John Goodman in drag is always hilarious. I loved it when he would make cameo appearances as Linda Tripp.

I absolutely hated The Three Wise Guys sketch. None them could pick up a cue.

Acutally, the quiet beats were written into the sketch.

Did someone say giftwraaaaaaaap?
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Am I mistaken or did Madonna leave the stage prematurely? So as not to be hidden by the guys?

Oh, never mind. She had to be on the next stage to announce Justin T.

No, she was hiding behind them to take a photo for Instagram like all the young people of today.

So, I just assumed this was Seth's last night but apparently he'll do a few more shows.

SNAFU - was Chris Rock in a cut sketch? That was him at the end credits, correct?

So the Christmas Carol sketch existed solely to let Jimmy Fallon mince, right? There was no joke but that.

I wasn't up there for Dress and Air. I was only there for blocking today to fit Justin and Jimmy for their Wrappinville costumes. I don't remember any sketches from read through he was in. He might have just been in the studio and dragged up for good-nights. I was watching from the corner of my eye, did Madge stay for Goodnights? I didn't see her.

No. She was not there.

I thought the show was alright. I do love justin Timberlake but that whole shtick he does on the street corner (is this the fourth or fifth time now?) really doesn't land for me. What is the joke supposed to be?

Nice thing was, when we had the fitting, other then just making Justin's head hole a little bigger there was nothing wrong. Justin, Jimmy and the writer were thrilled, not very often we hit the trfecta.

I thought there was an essence of sweetness to the show last night. I really LOVED the Baby It's Cold Outside duet - and Barry Gibb showing up in the end of that skit was great. A really strong episode to end the year.

I felt somewhat distanced from the show, and maybe it was knocked off its axis a bit by the screaming woman in the audience during the cold open. I've never seen that happen on the show before, where somebody screams out a disruption twice. Then for most of the rest of the show the audience was just too boisterous.

For me, all was forgiven by the Baby It's Cold Outside sketch.

Exactly SNAFU, I was thinking the song wasn't so great but I was mesmerized by the lights. I've never seen such a mastery of the medium. Kudos to the lighting people.

Justin Timberlake did an awesome job with his Robin Gibb!

it was pretty similar to Kanye's performance of Black Skinhead, no? I loved the first 8 minutes of the song but I got bored with it during the last 15 minutes of it.

It was similar but I think far superior to Kanye's. I also do agree it was a tad too long. The idea is supposed to be leave them wanting more.

I am actually surprized that Security didn't nip the screamer in the bud after the very first dispruption. I loved Justin's ad -lib "that's enough Mom!" but I think that actually, inavertantly, gave permission for the behavior to continue.

Namo, I am too. Security up there are usually really on top of things, even during camera blocking and rehearsals. We were NOT allowed on the sound stage while wrappinville was being rehearsed! We stepped in the studio and there was a hand on our shoulder to point us back out and we WORK on the show!
Way back when when there was a protester for Sharon Stone. They got one shout out and were immediately shown the door, and not too gently.
