Here's to a great run, and for all those involved. I bought my tickets for the final performance nearly a month ago! I can't wait! It's going to be such an amazing night!
Amazing, Amazing show. Great Run. I'll definitely be there on the 16th. Goodbye NEXT TO NORMAL. RIP.
For those who thought NEXT TO NORMAL wouldn't have a life outside Broadway, well it's now playing in 4 cities, 9 different countries and has been translated into 6 languages.
I think that with the amount of fans that there may be a surge. Does anyone think they will extend?

Not terribly surprising. Sad to see it go, but I'm grateful for the four visits I've been able to make to the Booth and everyone involved with the production should be very proud of beating all the odds. I'll miss this show.
[Insert obligatory post about filming the final performance].
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000
It's not surprising, but I'm not going to lie, my heart sank when I read this news. This show means so much to me and I don't want to say goodbye. But I've seen it four times and my fifth will be next Thursday and I will be seeing the final performance.
