How do they send you the tickets? Do you pick them up at the box office? If you do, do you need to show ID?

I'm bumping up this thread because I have the same question as 'aliceripleytheshiz'. I want to see Anything Goes with a Hiptix member. Would she be able to get me a ticket with her even though I am underage?

One person can buy two Hiptix, but each person has to be between the hiptix age range. Each person has to pick up the ticket at the box office.

I've always picked my tickets up at the theater and always have been asked for ID. They say the person with you has to be 18-35 too but its not always enforced. This week my guest was asked for her ID though, so unless someone picks up your tickets it would be smart to come with someone in the age range. But, I think its a great service, i've used it 3 times now and love it!

I did HipTix for IMPORTANCE OF BEING ERNEST last night and they asked for my ID at the box office. That was the first time I've been asked for ID and not a credit card.

I reserved my hiptix for Anything Goes and they're apparently being held at the box office - I'm surprised about the mailing since I assumed hiptix generally worked like TDF where you get your tickets at the box office. Maybe it depends on when you reserve and when the performance IS for mailing?

You can always buy your tickets directly at the box office and walk away with them in your hands. I did this for Anything Goes last week and they never asked for ID or proof of membership. I have a HipTix Gold account and they didn't even bother to verify it.

I've considered doing that but it's at least an hour for me to get into the city so ordering over the phone is easier most of the time. Although I might do that for the next roundabout show I see.

I just got back from the theatre for anything goes. They asked for everything: my hiptix number, my id and they wouldn't give my tickets unless my plus one was there to show their id. I have to go back to pick them up with my plus one.

^ i saw anything goes on the 26th. they asked for my id and i had to go grab my friend to show hers, as well. seems like it depends on who's working the box office, but i wouldn't risk it..

If you buy the HipTix GOLD membership, the second person does NOT have to be under 35.

I think the Gold upgrade is worth it for all seating levels, a free cast recording and the ability to bring who you want..

But with the gold membership, is it still only two tickets per Roundabout show?

I bought HipTix for Anything Goes the night they had the party. I was still on my bus coming into the city when my friends picked up the tickets / passes for me, and they explained that my parents will be using the HipTix (my friend bought us second row seats when the tickets went on sale.) and they never had a problem with that. But that was on March 17th, sounds like they may be getting stricter now.
