"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

frogs_fan- I'm with you. This is the first time in a long time I am really happy with the nominations (though I know the voters will screw up who gets the actual awards).
Are there a few nominations I disagree with? Sure, but not a lot, and none that I couldn't imagine, except for Ragtime's costumes, I still don't get how that one snuck in. I mean, they are still great after 10 years, but Finian's score is still great and it wasn't nominated.
All in all a very satisfying list.
David walked into the valley
With a stone clutched in his hand
He was only a boy
But he knew someone must take a stand
There will always be a valley
Always mountains one must scale
There will always be perilous waters
Which someone must sail

I'm content with the nominations as well. The only thing I would change if I could would to be to change out Million Dollar Quartet as Best Musical with Evdryday Rapture.
Super stoked for Bobby Steggart!
