Thanks. I have seen that image before. I was just curious if there was more to her overall look in the film.Maybe I was expecting her to be green.

Yea, that's my thought too.

I wonder what the explanation will be about her skin color...

"In the original story, Maleficent eventually turns into a magnificent dragon, which we're assuming is the other part on which Baker will be working his magic. Maleficent's basic look involves a cloak-like gown and a horned headdress - simple work for such an accomplished designer. It's that whole dragon thing that has us more interested in what Baker will cook up next."

The film's release date keeps moving around. Let's see how it does after it opens a week after the highly-anticipated 'X-Men: Days of Future Past'.

Mmm. I'll stick to Catharine Breillat's version.
"It's now rather very common to hear people say 'I'm rather offended by that'. As if that gives them certain rights. It's actually nothing more than a whine. It has no meaning, no purpose. It has no reason to be respected as a phrase. 'I am offended by that'. Well, so f**king what?"--Stephen Fry

Disney is continuing to run out of ideas. We've already seen this character in a live-action form twice.

Reshoots with a new director? Hmmmm.

And I'm still not digging that "goat girl" outfit with the Spock ears.

They're trying to make Maleficent into some sort of Earth Mother gone wrong.

The trailer is apparently being released on December 20, 2013, which is the same day 'Saving Mr. Banks' will be released.

I don't really have an opinion. There is not to much to say about it since we've seen some familiar scenes from the 1959 film.

Meh.

Why does all the CGI have to look like a video game? Same thing with Oz the Great and Powerful.

Angelina sounds kind of blah here. I miss Eleanor Audley's aristocratic voice with all that pithy irony in it.

Jolie just sounds like a cold robot.

Meh.

It's already made a zillion dollars. It can be as God Awful as it wants.

Just look at Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. I heard Rick Baker worked for months on Angelina's look. Really Rick? I expected more.

I wish I could say I was expecting more, but it kind of met what I was expecting…the third part of the Alice in Wonderland/Oz the Great and Powerful franchise. I LOVE the character, so there is a little bit of me rooting for this to at least be decent, but it just looks like more of the same that's been put out the last few years.

It's the whole concept of the Mistress of All Evil being misunderstood that bothers me more than anything else though. :-/

So this is "Wicked" with horns.

And Oz the Great and Powerful was Wicked from the Wizard's POV.

I liked the trailer.

It won't take much for this to be better than last year's Oz disaster.

Angelina has always been compelling to watch (at least to me) so I'm kinda excited about this.

I loved Elle Fanning in 'Super 8' and 'We Bought a Zoo'. She is a very good choice for Aurora.

I didn't realize this was a live action remake of Sleeping Beauty. I was under the impression this was sort of a prequel.

Meh. Looks all CGI/fake lushness.

Around the time of the 'Platinum Edition' DVD/Blu-ray of the 1959 film, Mary Costa, the original voice of Aurora said she was not fond of a Disney Princess direct-to-video film that continued Aurora's story.

Next year, the will film will be released as part of the 'Diamond Edition' line. I wonder if she sees this movie, she will give her thoughts about it as we'll as 'Once Upon a Time'.

I mentioned Disney's strange obsession with "Wicked" in the Frozen thread. They seem hellbent on draining the formula dry before a "Wicked" movie gets produced by Universal.

I re-watched the trailer and I laughed so hard at the dialogue, "Don't be afraid. I am not afraid. Then come out. Then you'll be afraid." I found it to be so silly for a movie that is supposed to be dark. Aurora must be more naive then Fauna when she thought that the fairies could reason with Maleficent and that she couldn't be all bad.
