Ouch! Ticket sales are terrible. I'm here looking for tickets in March and I can literally get a pair in Orchestra Center, Row K, L, M, etc at regular non-Premium prices for all the dates I'm checking. Even Mezzanine Center, Row A, B, C, etc.

Responding the sales, theres really not much buzz, and in my opinion Patti and Christine won't bring it a ton of tourists, people in the know, yes but everyone else no.

Patti Cohenour was Ebersole's standby in Chicago, and I assume she'll be covering her again on Broadway, and I'd love to see her if she gets to go on. (Joanna Glushak, I believe, covered LuPone in Chicago.)

When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain. -Kad

I watched two YouTube videos in a row and both had a War Paint ad before them. I found the difference in voiceovers to be interesting...

First ad said something along the lines of, "the musical starring two legends, as two legends" and the second one was "two women find the beauty in power...and the power in beauty."

Just a random observation. I am very excited for this show.

I hope the show lasts long enough to have replacements. The version that played the Goodman didn't give me much confidence that it would make much of an impression without being heavily revised in both book and score.

That certainly sounds encouraging. I hope they take it more seriously than the sort of revisions we heard about for Pirate Queen or The Last Ship that were really just superficial changes rather than addressing problems with the book and structure.

Those costumes were not in the Chicago production. Ebersole's definitely wasn't, Patti's style is similar but it still looks like a new costume. I do like the picture, it's pretty!
