They were looking for a Kathie clone. They got one. Problem is she grew out of her perkiness and now is just another face on the morning landscape. Milk it for all you can before the suits get tired of you.

They have to find an audience by hook or crook to remain relevant in an already crowded field. What is more, the bar to becoming (and staying) a celebrity has been lowered substantially thanks in large part to sex tapes, social media, & reality TV.

Bigots, business owners, corporate board members, lobbyists, and trust fund babies are voters too!

And yet they all have successful careers. YOUR opinion of their "2nd rateness" means nothing. Every single person you mentioned has legions of fans, and life and job to be pretty proud of.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

The greetings before the opening chat...awkward. Strahan should never play poker. It is all over his face. Ouch! You can watch it HERE

But wait a minute, she's not done yet because then she brings up a topic that is extremely sensitive to Strahan: his divorce. Oh yes kids, she WENT THERE and once again his displeasure is written ALL OVER HIS FACE.

Which validates my point of what a phony, disingenuous, beeyotch she truly is. I just hope that he doesn't stoop to her level, and rides out the next couple of weeks in the professional and dignified manner that he's always exhibited.

P.S. I wouldn't be at all surprised if she's a no-show for his last day.

I've taped/DVRed Live since Regis left. Michael has had that same reaction to off the wall things she's brought up in the past. It's not new. I don't consider it awkward at all. His divorce has been discussed before, too. Not in any detail, but it's still been brought up.

I hung out with Cheyenne Jackson in his dressing room waayyyyyy before he tickled D2.

Interesting article. As someone who has attended tapings with both of them present, I would have thought Kelly was the problem. It was obvious,to me, that Michael's popularity had grown. He interacted with the audience more than she did. More audience members initiated interaction with him, because he was in the audience. I would have assumed Kelly was jealous of his popularity. If this article is true, Michael is really a great actor and a phony one at that. But Kelly needs to watch herself also. Everyone is replaceable. Regis hit the door because he demanded more money. ABC and Live's Executive Producers took a gamble and told him buy, hoping Kelly could carry the show. They chose wisely. The notion that Regis left to pursue other opportunities is just public relations mumbojumbo.

I know people who interned at the show and they had nothing but kind words to say about both Kelly and Michael.

They said Kelly was more professional and Michael was a bit more outgoing and friendly - and neither were rude.

i think they both have a lot of PR runarounds going on.
