I pre-ordered the CD from Amazon, and just got an email that says that release of the CD is delayed until July 29. Anyone know anything about this?

Could be an Amazon problem, I ordered Masterworks' PAINT YOUR WAGON from them and to this day it hasn't shipped. The CD has been out for a month.

Anyone have any updates on their pre-ordered physical copies? Guess “shipping in early June" didn’t work out after all… I finally gave in and bought a digital copy as well. Can’t stand the uncertainty.

Also, does anyone else also notice a slight tempo mismatch on Days Gone By and to a smaller extent in She Loves Me? The overall tempo is rushed, yes, but it also feels like there are a few skipped beats.

Bumping this post to say I went to She Loves Me last night and it was unbelievably charming.  They filmed the performance, possibly as practice for live streaming it on Thursday.  If you have not seen the show yet, do not miss the live stream.

I got an email from Ghostlight today apologizing that the CD release date was pushed back to July 29 due to a production problem. But they gave me a code to use to download the digital version for free while I wait---very nice.

I have been waiting for my Audio CD for over a month now. Didn't get any email about the delay. It's nice that Ghostlight did that for you, Peter2. I really want to listen to the whole album in its entirety but it's neither on Google Play (which I already pay for) or Spotify.

I think you are right. I was about to suggest canceling the Amazon order and placing a new one with Ghostlight, but now that the new release date has been announced they might not give the same deal! I wonder.

I got this too (I ordered from Roundabout). Now I'm kind of regretting having bought the digital copy, but I guess it didn't really cost all that much and I like the show enough to spend more money on it. It's really nice of them to offer this to us - though they did make sure to add the caveat that once you download the digital copy, you can't cancel your physical pre-order.

I absolutely adore this new recording.  Those new orchestrations are quite lovely.  Benanti is in great voice and does some things outside of her box that pay off well.  Krakowski is a perfect Ilona and Creel is splendid as Kodaly.  Can't wait for the Live Streaming later today!  I'm so glad that this show is having a new life. It's always been one of my favorites.

For anyone still waiting for this - Amazon finally made the MP3 autorip free if you buy the audio CD, so you don't have to wait until end of July to listen to the entire album. It's been on a loop for me for last few hours now, lol.

Cannot wait to get this CD. I actually think that the new orchestrations are far superior to the originals, perhaps for the first time ever.

Some songs are slightly faster. And both are way faster than the original 1963.

I pre-ordered this, but don't see how to autorip it.  Sometimes there is something to click on, or I get an email telling me I can autorip it.  But nothing looks obvious so far.  Since I bought the live stream, I keep playing that instead, but it would be nice to have the digital copy so I don't have to keep streaming video.
