So it looks like they're actually still filming! I just found this online (it contains very minor spoilers) with the cast talking about things happening when the show comes back in the spring!

Yeah, so even if the worst happened and NBC didn't air them, they'll still see the light of day. Parks and Rec was pulled and returned with a vengeance, so I don't believe all hope is dead.

I'm glad 30 Rock is coming back and I don't begrudge Up All Night getting moved to Thursdays, but christ. Whitney is still rotten and every commercial I've seen of Are You There, Chelsea makes it look just execrable.

That's what I was thinking, too. If (GOD FORBID) they're not aired they'll be on the season 3 dvd release.

And I can report that I've never seen an episode of WHITNEY. Doesn't sound like I'm missing anything at all.

Full disclosure, I find Whitney Cummings repellent, but I liked enough of the supporting cast to give it a shot. But it's just terrible.

How many people watch Community? 3 million? If we all chipped in ten dollars, couldn't that at least buy us another season?

Well, I'm no arbiter of taste. And most of the people I know don't get Community, either, so it's all relative. I ain't judging.

I just do now want to lose this show. Not until senior year at least! It just makes me want to do ironic frowny emoticons.

Well, since Sony produces it, and they really prefer their shows to get syndication packages, they might move Community to another network.

I know there have been some recent cases of other networks saving a canceled show but I would not give my hopes up on that saving Community. Only NBC could tolerate such ratings (though they are setting it up for failure going on against one 'nerd' show in The Big Bang Theory and another genre show in The Vampire Diaries that is popular with the same people who tend to also watch Community). If there were a Community resurrection not on NBC, I would bet money it is on a big cable channel. With that said, I will happily just accept the news that they are filming new episodes.

And so help me, may one of those news comedies go down in flames so Community takes its spot. I avoided Whitney like the plague but had to watch it because my family likes it and likes Whitney Cummings (and they all think Community is pretty strange). Truth be told, I do like the actor who plays the boyfriend and got a kick out of the fact the guy who played Jonathan on 30 Rock was on there but it wasn't really special or funny at all.
