Come From Away Rush |
I was there last Thursday and arrived around 8:30- got a seat in the second row of the mezz, all the way to the left side of the house. One or two small things missed from the staging, but it was a great seat for the price. By the time the box office opened, I'd say there were maybe 30 people in line, but I didn't count.

Stopped over around 4:30ish and they still had SRO for tonight.
Got one myself for tonight's show, too. The good thing on Saturdays (& Wednesdays) is that they don't start selling SRO for the evening show until after the matinee starts(2:00).

I've been looking forward to seeing it again since I first went while visiting D.C. The delayed sale must've helped, and maybe the weather is impacting the walk up today too? Either way, I'm excited!
3rd time seeing the show. Haven't been this in love with a show in a long time.

Had spot #109 which is just about dead center - great vantage point and with the run time what it is, standing isn't bad at all (unlike SRO for The Front Page, which was rough). Enjoyed it just as much as I did the first time, if not more!
Also got a kick seeing Barry Manilow in the house. I happened to glance over once or twice and he seemed to be actively enjoying himself. Sankoff and Hein were there as well, so that was neat.
yes, I was funny seeing Manilow & his people sneak in just before the show started & then sneak out during the bands' encore.
Any update on rush for this and a safe time to line up? Planning on rushing for this Saturday's matinee. Appreciate the help!
Saturday's(I've been told) are crazy. The good thing is that there's two shows which they sell when the box office opens(both shows). Line starts to get long [typically] by 7:30am.
Thanks, ACL2006!! Do you anticipate SRO being available this weekend? And with this post, I'm a Broadway Legend :)
Yes. It's been sold for every show since it's opened. There's now 25 spots, $32 each.
I've mentioned it in this thread, but if you want SRO for the evening show on Saturday, it won't be sold until after the matinee begins.

Here today first person came around 6am and now at 8:40 there is 11 people
Last night was the first night since they opened they didn't sell SRO. It is available tonight & all weekend.
I was the 10th person in line and didn't get rush tickets but scored SRO. They only sold 10 rush tickets for tonight.
I rushed today for the matinee. My boyfriend and I arrived at 5:45am, and were 6th and 7th in line. The various people in front of us were getting both evening and matinee tickets... the first one arrived around 3am after getting to Dear Evan Hansen and finding too many people there already. People gradually arrived from when we got there until 7:00ish, when it started picking up. By 7:30 there were probably about 50 people in line, and it grew to about 100 by 10:00am. They only sold 5-6 evening rush tickets, but there seemed to be plenty of matinee, as my boyfriend and I got two each with no problem, and the people after us also got some. Not sure how many total tickets (for rush or SRO) they had, because when I passed by again about 10 minutes later, there were people from the rush line still moving in and out of the box office. We had seats F 20 and 22 and G 20 and 22 (all the way at the end of the aisle on the side). They were great- we basically saw everything, only missing a few lines here and there. They definitely stage the show to accommodate for the limited sight lines. It's a beautiful show- definitely worth the wait!
Saturday April 29th. I was the first person in line. arrived at 4am.
Next person did not arrive until 445am or so.
Here are numbers;
5 people by 515am
17 people by 703am
25 people at 730am
56 people at 845am.
around 10 am line was 100+ I would say.
They only gave out 6 tickets for the eve show - -but It was fantastic and well worth the wait.
As expected, but I've heard the Saturday rushes are crazy for COME FROM AWAY. Do you know if they also sold SRO for the matinee right after all the rush tickets were sold?

I'm the 5th in line for rush right now and just learnt my friend can no longer come this evening- so I can pick up another rush ticket if you can also cover my ticket.
You can give me cash or Venmo me when we meet at 6:30pm at the theater, or another place/time around the theater before that.
PM if interested:)
After reading this it seems tjay the box office normally sells SRO right after rush or right before the matinee performance. I am planning on going on a Saturday, so it seems that is also very popular. My problem is I'm rushing another show that day. I was planning on getting tickets for that and after the matinee going to get come from away SRO for the evening. It seems that plan won't work though. Would I be able to score a SRO if I run to the theater right after I get the ticket for my first show?

On two show days, they don't sell SRO for the evening until after the matinee starts (rush for both shows is available when the box office opens). When I went a couple weeks ago, I didn't get over to the Schoenfeld until after Six Degrees of Separation, plus some additional time spent waiting at the stage door. It was probably about 4:30 when I made my way over, and was able to get SRO for the evening. So if it's SRO you're after, no need to run over after you rush for the matinee.
