Of Mice and Men. "Tell me about the rabbits George."    SPOILER

Having Dillon allow Norman to be happy in his fantasy before taking him out.

That's basically how I was expecting the show to end so Norma & Norman would always be together. It was just a matter of who would do it. Romero? The new sheriff? Norman himself? if it didn't end that way, Norman would either have to go to jail(for life) or a psych ward for life.

A Chorus Line played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013.

I always thought the series would end with Norman in the psych ward, like the film. I would have preferred that ending but I wasn't disappointed with the finale. As I said, I really was on edge for the whole hour, because it was so well done.

SNAFU, thanks for the explanation. I get it now.

SPOILER!

I thought Romero's death was a cheap shot. It was the oldest horror cliche in the book. Put you gun away turn your back on a serial killer leaving just enough room over your shoulder for your killer to pop up and kill you.

Why was Normal allowed to waltz into the Motel and start up the business again when the Sherrif gave to orders for the cops to cover both residences? Found it lazy.

I also wondered why Norman was so free at the Motel. I get all your points SNAFU and I think the reason I liked the finale so much is because of the visuals and fright effects. For some reason, I was on edge.

Yeah, the motel getting reopened was odd. Wasn't the whole motel tapped off?

Yes it was. The Sheriff also told everyone to cover the motel and Romero's residence. Norman only removed the tape around the office door. I am sure the whole place would have been taped off. Immediately the mom with kids drive up. Would you sign into a motel if the person in charged met you with a badly freshly battered face?

I am not even sure why that beat was needed.

The only reason I can think of is to magnify just how sick and dangerous Norman was. As if that was necessary!

Or, perhaps, it was intended to allow Norman to feel he was starting over and everything was OK. Just found that whole ending sort of a cheap let down after keeping me hooked for 49 episodes.

Sorry but I don't know why anyone would think that ending was a let down, I thought it was a perfect finale. Nail biting, exciting and emotional
