Oh come on. Of course we were not there. If that is the standard, being there, well nothing would ever get discussed about anything unless you were there. From Kelly and MS, to Hamilton, to Today and Ann Curry, to Rosie and Whoopee to Syria, the White House, Trump etc

The facts are they blindsided her and didn't treat her with the respect she deserved and she's hurt. She's a human being and she has feelings and she has every right to feel the way that she does. She deserved better.

NY Times is saying she WILL return Tuesday, more here.

Ms. Ripa informed the staff of her morning show, “Live With Kelly and Michael,” on Friday night that she would return Tuesday, according to an email obtained by The New York Times.

Addressing the “Live” staff, she said: “(Sorry for this late Friday night email). I wanted to thank you all for giving me the time to process this new information. Your kindness, support, and love has overwhelmed me. We are a family and I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday morning. Love, Kelly.”

if she's there on Tuesday, I'm wondering if Strahan will be there also.

A Chorus Line played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013.

So I guess she wasn't on a scheduled vacation as sources have previously reported. When she returns, ABC execs are now worried she may go rogue and pull an Ann Curry on live TV.

Your guess would be wrong. The article ends with this: Ms. Ripa will be off on Monday; she had previously scheduled a long weekend to celebrate her 20th wedding anniversary.

The days she took off to process what had happened were Wednesday and Thursday. Her scheduled day off is Monday, that is why she is returning on Tuesday.

From People.com:

Ripa's absence came at the same time as a pre-planned 20th anniversary vacation with husband Mark Consuelos and the couple's children. Although their trip to Turks and Caicos was "long-planned," the host jetted off a few days early as she was only expected to miss Friday and Monday, but has been gone since Wednesday.

I never watch it but will be watching Tuesday. She needs to do it in a way not to anger the suits or she will wind up like Ann Curry for real.

I'm with Rips on this one. She was blindsided not once, but twice. They could have at least shown her the respect of informing her long before she went on air. She had every right to sit out last week. If I were here I'd be consulting with every lawyer in town to either get out of my contract or scare the pants off of ABC who seem to have no concern for the people that have made them lots of money.
