Oh that's easy. The Stylish (The channel Beatdown was on)was being funded by a production company and the production company stopped paying. So no more Beatdown, Transfashionable, etc.

I thought The Stylish was a premium YouTube channel like Nerdist or Geek & Sundry and, since they didn't generate enough views/revenue for YouTube, they didn't get funded for season 2. Either way, no money, no Stylish.

They were funded my 'Magical Elves', I know it sounds fake I thought Willam was joking when he said, but it is real.

Here's what he said about it.

“My beatdown statement: Willam’s Beatdown, which was my original idea, was on a YouTube-sponsored channel that shut down after YouTube failed to renew funding. It was run by Magical Elves, a highly respected production company in LA. I was told it would be a 3 week hiatus but logistics, travel, wheat allergies and an unwillingness to compromise are preventing that.
Until I do more or Beatdown finds a home, please rewatch them and keep the suggestions coming.”

I might get flack for this, if so then , so be it. I have always found Drag to be equal to Black face.

Really? Then Shirley Q Liquor is sure gonna get you bothered. Haha.

I don't quite agree though. To hold Drag in the same place as black face is hold onto the idea that only women can be feminine which is in & of itself its own sexism. and you also hold onto one type of Drag as being what Drag is. THIS is all drag.


And it's always been an all inclusive art. Women have been there since the birth of drag in the gay clubs, it wasn't done as a means to make fun of them. It's a realm of hyper femininity. Nobody would go outside dressed like 3/4 of Queens do at their shows. There's Drag Queens, Drag Kings, Club Kids, Tranimals, GenderF*CK, Bearded Queens. There are drag queens who are women. Carmen Carrera, Kylie "Sonique" Love, & Monica Beverly Hillz are all transgender Drag Queens. Carmen & Sonique have even had their surgeries done, but still identify their job as Drag Queens.

Sad times folks, but the next episode of the Wheatdown will be the last Wheatdown... but in it's place, like a Phoenix rising form the ashes, the Beatdown is destined to return this summer.

Editing my last one now. Back to the Beatdown this summer. no more Wheatdown. I was doing it while I was trying to figure out how to get my own studio and figure out where my whole internet path was taking me.
