The only one missing that I noticed was Daniel David Stewart, who played Papi.

I doubt if they'll be discounting tickets anytime soon. Why should they? This show has great buzz, with many NY critics calling it the best musical of 2017  Brantley loved it, as did most every other NY critic, so it will undoubtedly open to very good to great reviews. I'm not comparing the show to Hamilton or to DEH, but did either of those shows discount tickets prior to the time they opened? I don't think either one did.

I am disappointed that Daniel Stewart is not continuing with the production. To me, he was one of the standouts Off Broadway.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

Hork wrote,

How does this show compare to the movie? I thought the movie was completely forgettable (I had to look it up on the IMDB just to remember what it was, and that I saw it).

Tried to watch this last night, couldn't get through it.  This is a relevant question,as am heading to NYC in the Fall.

One of the biggest inauthentic elements in this terrific show was that the Egyptians used classical Arabic (not spoken colloquially anywhere) instead of the Egyptian dialect. I hope they correct this in the Broadway version. Another pet peeve was how they called one of the characters Haled, it's Khaled.

The name of a character is not likely a mistake. I'm sure it was on purpose. Whether or not you agree with the choices made is another story.

Exchanged my December Comet tickets for this. No almost nothing about it, but I've heard great things

I forget... which character is Papi? I am vaguely intrigued by Adam Kantor being cast as the telephone guy. I didn't think it was that big of a part though there is a decent amount of stage time... a lot of it is nonverbal. Is it weird that I might see this again to see what he does with it?
